I'm puttin' together some Christmas cd's for my Mom but we are looking for "original" Christmas songs. When I say "original" I mean songs other than the traditional ones like Jingle Bells, White Christmas, etc. Obviously I already have Gary's (LOLOLOL) & a bunch of other ones.
For those that are looking for some great Christmas music here some of my favorite cd's. If you like swing/jazz music (& even if you don't) these 3 cd's are must haves:
BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY (Everything You Want For Christmas): has mostly fun original songs including "Mr. Heatmiser" from those old claymation animated Christmas shows.
BRIAN SETZER ORCHESTRA (Dig That Crazy Christmas & Boogie Woogie Christmas): my 13 yr old daughter absolutely loves these cd's. Good combination of original & traditional songs.
Some good country christmas cd's that I recently discovered/re-discovered:
SHeDAISY - Brand New Year
BRAD PAISLEY - A Brad Paisley Christmas (love the penguin song!!)
TOBY KEITH - Christmas To Christmas (love love this one. mostly original songs)
I have a bunch of original songs from individual artists too.
Do any of y'all know of any other original Christmas songs??????????
They don't have to be just country artists/songs either.
