Barb....I havent been on Kenny's site in ages so I didnt see the letter but I knew he wasnt touring bc I got flooded with texts messages from upset fans! lol I am of course sorta upset but at the same time I was expecting to give him up completely next year anyways so at least this way I wont have any regrets about not seeing him bc I will have no other choice than to not go see him. Anyone else spculating that he will probably end up using his time off to get married again?? He is still with Amy, right? If they are sill together then I would bet he is going to tie the knot with her next year sometime.

As for Gary shows....I think Courtney has started talking me into going to Gary's show in Dallas. Im going to try REALLY hard to go. Even if Im still technically broke at the time...I might go anyways, bc I need to get away from the stress...even for just a day. I need to have some FUN! Yall might actually get to see me drunk....if I can get free drinks! lol Bc I wont be able to afford them myself.

Hi, everyone. It seems like I don't get much of a chance to drop in too often anymore. I've been sick with a cold/bronchial crud for 2 weeks now, I had to go get Bret from college last week after his trip to the ER because he was so sick, and school matters are keeping me hopping.

Alicia, I'm so sorry to hear about your job loss. There have been more than a few restaurant shut downs in the Kansas City area lately. I hope you find something soon.

Im not too worried about losing my job....I know my parents will help me out until I find another one. Im thinking about getting 2 jobs at least for awhile to try and get all caught back up with bills...then go back to one. Right now Im just enjoying the fact that Im getting to spend a lot of time with my man. He has changed my outlook on things so much....I used to be so pessimistic and always thought the worst, now Im all about the BRIGHT side of things!!

Hey ya'll. Alicia sorry to hear about your job loss. It's really scary times for ALOT of people right now. One friend that started working for me in the store is doing so because she was laid off from AT&T. Then, another friend who works for a real estate auction company was very abruptly laid off last Wednesday. Like, they told her at 3 p.m. and she was escorted out. It's scary but you seem to have a good outlook about it.

I know I said I wasnt upset about Kenny taking a year off but I just watched the newest CMT Insider and it had a whole story about it....and it really hit me. I guess even though I dont like Kenny as much as I used to, I still have a soft spot for him.

Alicia-I know exactly what you are talking about with Kenny. I kinda felt it was coming on and I remember saying to you all in Atlanta in 07 that would be my last Kenny show and then I remember saying it in Tulsa last year and then this year in Frisco too. I think it's because it's more than just a Kenny show, it's all of us getting together and having a heck of a good time together. I mean, I probably won't see you in person for over a year now. It's kinda sad if you look at it that way. But, he needed it. We've all said that he needs to take a break.

Well, it's Monday and I've got a bad case of not wanting to do anything. Oh well.

About the Kenny thing, If you think about about it, it was Kenny who brought us together first and then Gary. Hopefully we all will get to see each other periodically. I know many have moved on from Kenny but I can't quit him.

Sorry to hear about you losing your job. You will find something else and hopefully better!! I think it's great how you all met and stay in touch. I met Brooke from Ca at Gary's show at Konocti in Kelseyville. She was so nice. It's funny when you meet junkies in person after writing each other and sending birthday or Christmas cards. Everyone seems so nice and cant wait until I am able to meet you all. I was so happy that I won the meet and greet for Kelseyville and finally had my picture with Gary. He is truly a GREAT MAN!!! He is so down to earth and makes you feel comfortable. It's a shame the time is real short, because you just want to spend time with him.

just before i left on vacation, my dog needed knee surgery, torn ligament she had her surgery, then not even 2 days later I had to haul her back in cuz my folks hadn't put her up(in a back room) so she almost scooted out the door. her leg was fine thank goodness! lol. she's going a little stir crazy, no playing, no walks, no hoppin on my folks bed(alll my dad's fault!! LOL!!). we had to hid all her toys, she's been searchin for them.

made my trip to Reno, it was soooo much fun! i already can't wait for the PBR schedule to come out(in a few days), so i can see where events will be next year

after Reno i headed to WA to see Rodney Atkins, got a M&G too, the show was AWESOME

I've been sick off and on for a month now plus very busy with life. I went to see Bret in his first college play Friday evening and it was great. I sure miss him. My older son started a part time job last week. He's a detox attendant at a local rehab center. He's also getting ready to apply to grad schools this fall.

I was supposed to see Gary, Eric Church, and Justin Moore Wednesday night. However, due to unforseen and unexpected 'breakdowns'/bills, I'm not going now.

The concert Friday night was great as always. Had a great time with Kalen, Jennifer and Crystal. It was great to get together with you girls again. Winstar changed their camera policy but we managed to use them anyway. I will post a link to my pictures later.

Vicki, we are always missing each other. One of these days we will get to spend more time together.

Went and saw Wade Bowen on Saturday at Lewisville's Wester Days festival. Then Sunday I spent the day catching up on house work and laundry. Today I took the day off because we are having a new fence put up so the dogs had to be put on leashes each time they needed to go out. I hope they don't have to go out in the middle of the night!

Connie, sorry to hear you have been sick. I know how you must feel not having the boys around all the time. Too bad you had to miss Gary and the others, maybe he will come back your way soon.

Hey Junkies! This is my first time getting on since last Thursday I think. I ended up having a GREAT weekend. The excitement came back to me just as I was pulling into Winstar. It was great hanging out with Courtney and Teresa before the show and prepartying. Then, I got to meet up with my regular concert junkies...Barb, Crystal, Jen. We had one heck of a good time. I don't see where anyone really put any stories up yet so I'll go ahead and share one that still makes me laugh even though it hurt like h&ll when it happened. We got there and noticed they had a cattle guard gate up infront of the stage so no one could get right up next to it like we were able to last year. Then, once we got in our seats I noticed that they even had roped off the first 2 rows in the center section so no one in the side premium sections could stand infront of the front row. Well, of course ALL of us Junkies weren't too happy about that. So, we took our spots and waited...and waited for the lights to go out. Jennifer and I even warned the two people that were sitting on the isle in our row that we would be moving VERY QUICKLY once the lights went out. And, sure enough, when the lights went out...EVERYONE RAN up to the stage. It was dark so I couldn't see anything and I remember hitting my toe on something on the floor. Once the stage lights came on, I looked down and it was the stancheon laying on the floor. Someone had just knocked it out of the way! Come to find out, that someone was Courtney and her friend Mandy. Way to go girls! Even if I did almost break a toe on it. LOL! It was a good time anyways. When will Winstar learn they just can't stop us Junkies from getting close to our man?

Saturday's show was good except I couldn't hear anything. I wasn't the only one either. It was because of the type of speakers they used and the stage set up. Since we were down in the dirt, we weren't in speaker range. They blasted out into the seats. So, thank goodness we were close enough to read lips to know what song he was on!!!! And, here's what I have to say about the way OKC did the dirt tickets...LAME! I had a mini-panic attack waiting in the line. It was R I D I C U L O U S!!!!!! People literally trampled the poor old woman they had working the curtain. I mean, she was literally knocked against the wall. Once we got down to the 2nd holding station, the 2 guys down there flat out told us, we're getting out of the way and it's a free-for-all. I think what made me panic was the fact that we were towards the front of the line and crammed in like cattle. I thought I was going to be crushed or trampled. SCARY. Then, I didn't even make it to the stage with people that I had come with. They ended up on one side up against the stage and I was in the middle about 3 rows of people back. I guess that was because I can't run like them and I was more back in the crowd than they were. NOt sure but I'm not sure I'll ever be doing anything like that again.

Vicki-I don't know what it is about you and Gary shows, but you're almost like a ghost. I hear about you being there and don't ever see you except in passing! But, at least I got to give you a hug. Maybe one day we'll get to hang out at a show. I'm glad you were able to go.

Alicia-We were wishing you were there in between us too. I have watched DWTS and my only favorite so far is Kelly Osbourne. Of course I like Maks and vote for him because I want to continue to see him on TV for a while but Debbie really isn't that good. I also like Melissa Joan Hart but only because I met her in an elevator in NYC last year. Other than that I really don't have a favorite. Do you think Derek is on drugs? He is so hyper and jumpy! I'm like you in trying to catch up on the DVR! I've got at least 8 hours worth of TV to watch. Actually more than that probably because I still record Oprah and General Hospital everyday. Are you watching VAmpire Diaries? I'm loving it! So far it's done well in the ratings too.

So, I got into bed on Sunday night and istantly felt like I was getting sick. Sure enough, I didn't sleep much that night and have felt like &#^#% ever since. I'm about 90% sure it's allergies but it SUCKS! Last night it moved into my chest so I kept coughing and choking all night. TOnight, I"m going to have to remember to take something to go to sleep.
