Hey everyone. It's been a while since Ive checked in. but I feel like I've been keeping up with everyone through other outlets.

I"m watching the MTV awards and I'm trying to decide if the thing with Eminem and that comedian was real or if Em new it was going to happen and acted it out. If he did know, he did a very good job of being angry. It's been pretty funny so far. I'm learning that Andy Samberg is one funny guy. Some of the stuff he does is stupid but most of it funny!

Steff/Sue-did you all watch the Hills finale???? D R A M A! And, so freakin' fake! What did you think when Kristin walks in the church ALL BY HERSELF AND BRALESS and just decides to sit between Justin Bobby and his friend? FAKE. Anyway, the new season looks nice and drama filled too. Do you all think Kristin looks completely different in her face? I think she may have had something done. And, I also think Brody Jenner is absolutely adorable.

I can't remember who mentioned RHONJ but I'm not as into it as I have been the others. I also read in one of my magazine that they are casting for a RHODC as in washington dc. That one should be very interesting.

DC-can't wait till Tuesday for Ophelio season. I love that Alicia now watches it. Do you like Alicia?

So, Alicia and I will be going to Miami for Gary's July show. It is going to be one hot you know what! But, it should be fun. Sorry I confused everyone about the September shows. I put down that I had tickets for those shows and I don't. I just plan on going and the other ones I have tickets for. The OKC show was on his schedule for a long time and then it disappeared. But, I'm thinking it's going to happen just because if he's going to be at Winstar the day after, it just makes sense he would be in OKC too. Eventful has yet to be wrong as well.

Sue-congrats on being finished with school. You mentioned John and Kate...I don't usually watch that show but became fascinated with the whole John straying story and watched the first show last MOnday. It was incredibly real. I thought it was all blown out of proportion for ratings for the new season, but it looked pretty darn bleak on Monday. I mean, when they were both interviewed about where they are right now and she said, she was there 100% when she wasn't working and then John pauses and says "I'm here for my kids" HELLO! That pretty much says it all. He's done with her. And, she downright ignored him at the birtday party. He looked like a lost puppy dog. It's all very sad. I might try to watch it this season to see how it all plays out.

Tomorrow starts another week. *rolls eyes* But, I am thankful I have a job. LOL! Everyone have a good week. I'm going to eat cake!

Did everyone have a good weekend?

Cool Celeb Spotting: a friend of my mine saw a Broadway show yesterday, it's call Next to Normal. Anyway, guess who was sitting a few rows ahead of her? Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. She spotted her in the ladies room first and so did a lot of people but she wasn't completely sure it was her until they were leaving and she was with Keith. She really doesn't know anything about country music but did tell me he is really hot up close. She described Nicole as looking sort of "icy" but when she smiled it warmed her up. A fan came up and asked for a picture and Nicole politely obliged but out of nowhere, their bodyguard practically karate chopped the camera-too funny. They jumped into their Escalade and were whisked away.

Kalen, I "technically" watched The Hills. I was doing some work so I had it on mute but I could tell from the faces alone that there was a lot of fakery going on. It seemed like everyone was crying at some point. I cannot stand Kristin. Her career was going nowhere so she is going to give The Hills a whirl. Brody is classically handsome, a bit of a d-bag if you ask me, hahaha.

Alicia, congrats on the truck. I wasn't a truck person until a person I dated had one-once you have a truck it's hard to drive anything else.

My life is DRAMA FILLED right now. I feel like I'm on The Hills but the difference being that all this garbage is real and no one is paying me for it.

Hi everybody!

It's been a very tiring weekend for me. Spent the whole weekend helping my son and his girlfriend move out of their apartment and back home for awhile. Both are going to school and can't pay rent for about a year. Plus I had a Billy Currington concert on Saturday night. On top of that my 18 year old decided to test his drinking skills. I was up until 3a.m. Sunday morning with him. Mom ain't done with him yet, there is still consequences coming!

Alicia, congrats on the truck. I have driven trucks for the past 20 years and just last year decided to down size to a car. I wish I hadn't now. I'm looking to sell my car and get me another Dodge truck. Been looking at some of the deals that the dealerships that are going out of business have.

i think i neeed another weekend to recoop from the last one, LOL, wishful thinkin. We are due for awesome weather this week, clear and sunny and temps in the 85+.

the last few days have been swamped...thursday night I BBQ chix, made brownies for a work potluck on friday, then limed the back yard then watered it. friday most of the day i goofed off till i had to set everything up for the potluck. after work i went to a friend house for pizza & movie, we watched Bride Wars, cute movie. Then I headed out to my favorite hang out, then spent the night at a friends so I could help with prep for the BBQ dinner saturday evening. Made my salsa and 7 layer dip.

Saturday afternoon we went on whale watching trip it was great saw lots of humpbacks, it'll post a link for my pics once i load them to mspace or facebook. (i don't think i'll be inside much cuz its toooo nice out)

sunday, turned out to be just awesome, got some serious sun and lots of yard work done. even hung out my clothes to dry

I had an excellent weekend. Went to Lake Tahoe and saw Rick Springfield. Has some awesome seats and he was in a really great mood.

Did not win big but won enough to pay for dinner and some other stuff, so that was great!

Keith Urban is coming to Sacramento and I am so happy! I am glad he is not passing up Northern California this tour!

Well....I might be crying about my truck for a different reason now....my dad talked to me today again about it and I think he has changed his mind about it and decided to just buy my sister a cheap car....since it would be way cheaper to do that. I hope he doesnt decide to do that....I really want a truck. If I do get one it will be sometime during this week.

Kalen...yes, I like Deadliest Catch. I got my mom watching it too. I CANT WAIT FOR MIAMI!! We are going to have a great time. You got any plans for the day after the show?? My flight back home isnt until like 6:30pm so we will have a little while to hang out and do fun stuff....anything fun to do around that area?

Steff....thats cool about the celeb sighting...too bad she didnt end up at the same show as Barack Obama and Michelle since they were there this weekend.

Jules.....Humpback whales...COOL! I cant wait to see pics. When I was in the 5th grade we watched the "Voyage of the MiMi" videos....its all about a boat called the MiMi that follows Humpback whales or something like that. We even had to make our own MiMi out of toothpicks!! I still have mine. Ever since then though Ive had a soft spot for Humpback whales.

Thanks Kalen. I am soo happy to be done with school. Question for ya...you busy next fall? If not, please feel free to write my thesis. I wrote a prospectus and you can use it as a guide. I can't complain though - I don't have to actually attend class anymore.

I did watch The Hills for the wonder of it all. This episode took the cake when it comes to the fakery. Yikes and yikes. Kristin looked a bit under the influence no?

Hey Junkies. I'm watching the New Tonight Show. I love Conan. He cracks me up. He just did his string dance. So happy he's still doing some of the old stuff.

Steff-That's a cool story to hear about KU & Nic. I totally agree with the description of Nicole. I've always thought she looks really harsh but her smile does soften her a bit. I still sometimes don't see what all the hoopla is about her beauty and then other times, I understand it. Her skin is flawless. I think she might be extremely shy or co-dependant or something. I"m just happy she and Keith seem to be happy. I was thinking you were going to say that your friend was there with the President and Michelle. LOL! I kinda think that seeing Nicole in the bathroom is better. Sorry to hear your having some drama in your life right now. Hope it ends soon. I've been trying to take steps to eliminate some of it in my own life but sometimes there's just nothing you can do.

Jules-sounds like you had a fun filled weekend. You talking about whales (which is totally cool that you went to see them and I'm jealous) made me think of that show called Whale Wars. I know you've seen the previews because they are on during DC, but have you watched it before? I wanted to but I think it would make me too sad. It looks really, really depressing. Barb-I know you're aggrevated about your son but I have to admit that I laughed out loud when I read your post about it. Was he just sick and you were up with him or what? Did he go to a party or was he just hanging with friends? We've all done it but I guess as a parent it would be aggrevating. I also can't see you being authoritative at all! Especially to boys. But, good luck with that. From what I know, boys usually love and respect their mamas. Is you other son's girlfriend moving in with you too? Will you have another girl in the house?????

Sue-Thanks for the offer about writing your thesis, but, I'm gonna have to pass. I've been there done that and it was NO FUN! I look back at it now and think, I didn't really do that did I? And, did I really get an A???? Actually, it wasn't called a thesis but it was basically the same thing as a thesis. I think thesis you only write in grad school, right? What is this about you not knowing how to drive?!?!?!?!?!? Good lord girl! You'd be one of those people that have run up over the 6" curbs and into the storefronts at our shopping center! But, those people are usually in their 80s. So, good thing your taking a refresher course. I didn't know they offered something like that. So, are you getting a car or going to do more driving? About Kristin-she looks completely different than she ever has last night. I mean, different! Not exactly sure what it was, but different.

Alicia-Sorry to hear about the disappointment with the truck. That sucks to be disappointed about something as big as a car. But, at least you still have one...I guess. lol. That's so funny that you mentioned what to do the day after Gary because today when I was driving home I was feeling like I should like take you around town, show you my store, where I live, etc. etc. There's not really anything super exciting to do here especially on a Sunday. There's really nothing to do in Miami either. But, we could stop at what used to be (and may still be) the World's largest McDonalds. It's on the turnpike that we take to get to Miami. LOL! Heck, we could even do some crazy stuff that I've never even done before. But, i don't know how "fun" it would be. I remember when I was younger we used to take another route to get to the lake than the turnpike. (it's the same turnpike to get to the lake that we'll take to Miami) There was this old totem pole that I loved to go to for some reason and I haven't been there in probably 20 years or more. But, i don't know where it is or if it's even still there. LOL! I need to find out when this arts & crafts show called 'Affair of the Heart' is. It's usually in July and it might be that weekend. If it is, and if I have money, I will n eed to go to it on Sunday. I go every year and I LOVE IT! Cheap, fun stuff of all kinds. Food, purses, jewelry, clothes, shoes, garden, home, everything.

It was such a beautiful day today that I had to go to Rock Springs and go tubing before I went to work...my life is pretty boring right now (i'm going to try to keep it that way)..I'm planning my annual trip to key west and I have a total of 18 people who want to go!!! it is soooo hard to find places that will hold all of us...Orlando Magic(basketball) are in the finals against the LA Lakers..I am so stoked!!! GO MAGIC!!!

Bren, Sue will not be doing the driving in August. I mean if you want to go around in circles and never get there, well then Sue can do the driving.

It is so easy in NYC to get rusty with driving since almost everything is in walking distance. If not, there are cabs and the subway. Do you know that it is very common to park my car on the street and not move at all until the weekend? During the week I take cabs and trains then if I need to go somewhere far then I use the car. But parking in a NIGHTMARE.

Kalen, I love Kathy Griffin. I watched the lost footage episode last night-her dad was a riot.

The drama in my life is slowly diffusing but I'm taking it one day at a time, what else can you do?

Jules, I LOVE your whale pictures! I"m like Kalen, I can't watch the Whale Wars show because it's too sad. Whales are so majestic and beautiful, I can't imagine how anyone could kill one. I definitely want to take one of those whale watching trips when and if I ever get up to Alaska. I love the picture of the Time Bandit boys kissing you on the cheek! CUTE!

I agree about RHONJ, tried to watch and it was ridiculous. I used to love Rescue Me but now I think I am done.

Kalen...I hate Conan, there is just something about his "humor" that is not funny at all. He tries way too hard. My favorites are Craig Ferguson and Jay Leno....Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, and Conan, I could do without. Though...in all honesty, I dont really care to watch ANY of the late night guys unless they have someone as a guest that I like....my fav. is Chelsea Handler.

All of that sounds fun to do the day after the show. Im up for anything that you want to do. I wont be picky.

Park for a long, long, long time and I remember watching TV shows about people trying to find parking spaces close to their house and once they would, they wouldn't move it. I know it happens, I just can't imagine it. I would die without my car. But, like you said, everything is within walking distance for you. I GOT ANOTHER M&G WITH DIERKS FOR JULY 3RD!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. I was nervous at first though because I didn't have anyone to go with me. Jennifer said a while back that she would go with me and then when she heard about my m&G via twitter she asked for what show and said she wasn't going to be able to go. So, I scrambled and thank goodness my new concert buddy Missy said she can go. We've spent all freakin' night trying to find a decent hotel around this &#^#% hole lake that the concert is at. But, I figure it's ONE night and I get to meet Dierks again....CAN'T WAIT!!!! That will be one busy weekend for me. Dierks at Lake Eufaula on Friday, Party and Fireworks at Grand on Saturday.

Glad to have more people to talk summer TV about. Just suprised no one is onto Big Brother.

I love how Danielle said that she was a "trained dancer" and that's why she was trying to not show off. Uh, we all know what kind of dancer you were. Which is perfectly fine but don't act like you were a ballerina. I don't like how the two sisters were so judgmental of her past, though. They have a past too! Your father in law was found in the trunk of a car. People in glass houses...

Sue, remember when I ran a stop sign with you in the car and I cried my way out of the ticket? The one and only time I'v ever been pulled over.

Alicia, did I see on your Twitter that you're getting your truck? Good for you.

Alicia, I'm sure there are dealerships in your area that are closing also. I know there are some in the Austin area. Just do a search for Chrysler and you will probably find a link to all the dealerships that are closing. Look for the ones in your area that you know then look up their website to see if they are having a liquidation sale. There are several around here that are selling vehicles for several thousand below dealer invoice. But for a Quad cab or Crew cab expect to pay around 24,000 or more.

Hey Barb.....the truck Im looking to get is $35,000.....before tax, title, and license. Though my dad is going to try and talk them down to make that the "drive off lot" price.....add in TTL. The reason it is so much is bc it has got lots of things done to it....lift kit, BIG rims and tires, and leather interior....I could have gone with a cheaper truck but why not get my DREAM truck when I can! I think he might be able to get the price down a little....he is pretty good at talking people down, and knowing how bad they want to make the sell, I think it might be possible. *crosses fingers* My dad gets off work in about an hour.....so we will be heading over to the dealership when he gets home!! So If Im getting the truck....I will be driving it in a couple hours!!


Steff.....crying your way out of a ticket....shameless!

I have gotten like 10 speeding tickets....at the beginning I would get really angry and be mean to the cops then after ticket #4 I figured "Ok, I deserve it.".....so now Im really nice to the cops and ever since I decided to be nice they have always taken off miles from the ticket to make it cheaper. Granted....they still give me a ticket but making it cheaper is fine by me! One time I should have gotten my license taken away bc I was going almost 100mph in a 70mph zone.....but the lady officer knocked off a lot of miles for me.

I technically got a truck today!! lol They actually sold the original one that I was looking at sometime before today but we werent told that until we got to the dealership.....but they had a "sister truck" which was the same exact truck except without all the add-ons. Sooooo......Im getting my truck that I wanted, I just have to wait until they add all the things to it to actually GET it. The only thing Im not getting that the original one had is the leather interior but with the Texas heat....Im definitely OK with that bc I really dont want to have to worry about my butt sticking to my seat. They are going to try to get all the stuff added to it by Friday....at latest Saturday, so I should be driving it sometime before next week!! WHOOT WHOOT!! I posted a pic of the truck as it is now on my myspace and will add another once all the stuff gets added.....its getting tinted windows, nerf bars (side steps), about a 4in. lift kit, and big tires and rims! I CANT WAIT!

Im about to break the news to my sister that she is getting my Jeep.

I've only had 2 speeding tickets and I really deserved them...One of them was on the way down to the Keys...I know the road down there very well and I know where I can speed and when I shouldn't speed. I wasn't paying attention to how fast I was going and a cop stopped me then I realized that frank had left my insurance info back home!!! So I got two tickets that day but I didn't let the tickets ruin my fun in Key West

This morning, I got a front row, center section ticket to see Gary in August @ the MO State Fair. Yippee! I've not seen him since last August.

I'm enjoying having my summer off so far. I've been busy working in my yard, trying to get ready for a garage sale, reading on my deck, etc.

Thanks for all the congrats on my truck.....Im so tired of waiting for it to actually be in my hands though!! I went to the dealership yesterday thinking I would be driving it home....but then it turned out that they sold the original one and are now making me wait for more days for them to fix up another one!! Im so impatient! I have no doubt it will be worth the wait once I get it but its just so annoying having to wait.

And to top things off.....telling my sister she was getting my Jeep just didnt have the effect I was hoping for! she had already caught on and pretty much knew she was getting it....so I didnt get the reaction from her that I was hoping for. It was pretty funny though watching my mom tell her to get in the Jeep to see if she would even FIT!! lol

Speaking of being fat....I have lost another pound!! WHOOT WHOOT! I actually like this change of life....Ive been eating better but not dieting (I still eat cheeseburgers and french fries every once and awhile) and been walking every day. I now weigh less than I have in about 9yrs....Im at the weight I was as a freshman in high school. This is exciting.....and Im not done with it yet. Im hoping to at least lose 10 more lbs. Which reminds me....I need to go walking now!!

Alicia, I have to say I am jealous! I'm going to have to wait on getting a truck for now. I'll check out the picture on Myspace. I can't believe your getting a 4 inch lift on it. My husbands has a 3 inch and it's pretty tall! Your going to love driving a truck but be prepared to dish out more for gas. And you might want to slow down, the cops will really see that truck coming down the road!

lol The good news about gas is.....I have no life! So I dont really drive anywhere unless I have concerts....which doesnt happen too often, so the gas should last awhile. The speed thing....bigger things seem to be going slower than they actually are....so Im going to have to watch that more carefully now! When I was test driving it....the dealer actually told me to floor it so 1I could see the kind of power it had, totally didnt seem like I was going that fast! My dad said that he THINKS it had a 4in lift on it.....but it might be less and it just looked a lot taller bc of the big tires. We will see for sure....hopefully tomorrow! They said they were going to try and have it done by tomorrow....but probably no later than Sat.

To answer your comment on Myspace....no it doesnt thave a HEMI! lol I dont need a Hemi...I would get in trouble!

Im sorry you arent getting your truck anytime soon.....but at least you know you are more than likely going to get one in the future! We will be rolling up to Gary shows together in our big Dodge trucks and have everyone being jealous!

Im actually vehicle less at the moment....my parents gave my sister my Jeep already and my truck isnt done! lol So my dad is letting me drive his truck to work today.....WHOOT WHOOT! lol A big truck is a big truck.....Im a happy camper behind the wheel of any big truck! Im surprised he is letting me drive it alone....he is really anal about his baby. I think this is his way of bargaining that he gets to drive mine home from the dealership when it done! lol

Vicki.....I guess Midland is out of the question for me since I will be heading to Oklahoma the next morning.

Connie...my dad only lent me his truck yesterday, today I had to revert back to my young teenage years and had to get dropped off and picked up from work by my parents......it made me realize how great it is to have your own vehicle and not have to count on anyone else to get you from place to place. My sister had my dad's old truck that he had before the one he has now but it was getting pretty beat up and lots of miles on it.

Congrats on the Garage Sale....there are never any good ones around my area....its always a front yard full of "WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD WANT TO BUY THIS?!?!?" ooooooor "WHAT THE HECK IS THIS THING?"

Steff....my truck WILL look bad@ss.....at the moment it is just "cute" as Kalen likes to say! Im with you on Atlantic City.....forget gambling, relaxing by the pool all day sounds like way more fun!


I will have my truck TOMORROW for sure...they said they are going to try to have it done by noon.....but for sure before 6pm.

Alicia, I know what you mean about gaving your own vehicle. When mine breaks down and I'm without it, it feels horrible not to be able to go anywhere unless you call and ask someone (which I don't like to do). We tend to take things like that for granted and really appreciate them when we lose it for awhile.

Steff-thanks for the mob info. You made me laugh at what you said about the women on NJ cast. They really are obnoxious and not attractive at all. I agree with what Karen said about New Jersey; that state already has one of the worst stereotypes already and this show is not doing anything to contradict them. In fact, I say they are upholding them and possibly making them worse. Teresa is PREGNANT?!?!?!?!?! GoodLord! Why do they have so many kids????? And, I’m sorry but her house is just GODDY AWFUL! A little less natural stone in certain places would have been better. And, I’d be afraid I’d bust my @ss all the way down her “Gone with the Wind” staircase. The stairs are marble! Just crazy. Have a good time in Atlantic City. Sounds nice just chillin’ by the pool.

Everyone talking about their traffic violations is funny. I’ve never cried to get out of a ticket. In fact, I usually get like Alicia and get mad. I hate cops. So, that doesn’t help matters any. But, I’ve only ever gotten 5 tickets I think in my lifetime of driving. 1 was for speeding and it was in Missouri, 3 were for outdated tags, and one was for parking.

Bren-I watch Chelsea lately too. She is so funny! She comes on here at 10 right before the other late night shows so I get to watch all of my favorite late nights. I DVRd Burn Notice last night and haven’t watched it yet. Was it good?

Alicia-sorry I think your truck is “cute” I don’t know what else to call it. LOL! I’m not a car/truck person. To me, it’s just a machine used for travel. So, your watching Burn Notice now too? Barb-I really like your car. It looks sporty but luxourious at the same time. Can’t believe you want to go back to a truck. But, since I’ve had my trailblazer, I want another one; just like it. So, I guess I get what you mean. But, I also want a car; a convertible to be exact. Yes, that’s right. I want TWO cars, cause you know, I can afford that. At least we do have a “family” Mini Cooper convertible that I can usually drive it I want to. That helps.

I’ve been wanting to go garage “saleing” lately too. But, I don’t get up early enough for that so I haven’t actually stopped at one yet. I’m looking for a table/desk that is big but not too big for my scrapbook room. I have a feeling I will find it at a garage sale.

I’ve been watching this special on NBC showing “behind the scenes” of the Whitehouse. It’s really good. I love seeing stuff like this. It’s interesting to see how it all works. Everyone enjoy your Friday night. I’m about to eat and possible paint my nails.

Im being bored....just sitting here listening to guys dig up our septic tank (it seems 20+ yrs. is about when you have to change it out)....watching "New In Town" which is not one of Renee Zellweger's best movies......and waiting for the dealership to call and tell me my tires are in.

One of the girls that I work with quit....so now I have a jam packed work week. Only one day off. I guess I cant complain though bc with truck payments not too far in the future....I better start saving up now if Im going to be able to afford to still go to concerts along with that.
