Alicia, AC was pretty awesome. We've been there before (like in March for the Gary concert) and stayed on the boardwalk. This time we stayed off the boardwalk at Harrah's. What a difference! We took our mom for her 60th bday. I recommend staying at Harrah's for anyone who is going. The pool is incredible -kinda like the pools in Vegas. Mom won $600 bucks at a nickel slot machine which is crazy.

Good luck with your hot new ride. Id throw change in the backseat for good luck if I could. I wonder how that whole tradition started.

I will post a pic of my truck when it gets the tires on it thats its supposed to have. Its a Dodge Ram 1500....but no Hemi! I would get in trouble with a Hemi!

I did get the call today from the dealership that my tires were in but the dealership is almost an hour away and they didnt call till 12:30 and I had to start getting ready for work at 3pm....so I missed the chance to get them on today. Turns out they are pretty busy tomorrow....so I dont get them until WEDNESDAY! Urrrrgh......more waiting and its my only day off and I have to spend half of it getting tires on my truck. This is turning out to be a real pain in the arse. I cant wait for it to be complete and I dont have to worry about anything anymore.


This might sound a little weird...but I have one of Rodney's step-daughters as a friend on facebook and its just awesome to see pics of them doing the "family thing". They are an adorable family. She has some adorable pics of Rodney. I did notice something though....Rodney is a very "thick" guy....which makes him yummy....BUT I know why he never wears shorts in public now!! For such a thick guy he has "Kenny calves" lol.....his calves are really skinny, it just doesnt go with the rest of his body. He is still yummy though.

Nothing new in my world. My youngest graduated high school on Monday and now I have no more in school. (Sigh!!)

RHONJ: Felt like deja vu on this week's episode. We went to the same restaurant this weekend in AC as the housewives did last night minus the fake nails and the bubbies, hahaha.

Quick question. For those that watch Deadliest Catch, I was flipping through last night and I came across a scene where a bunch of guys on a boat were injured pretty badly but I couldn't figure out what went on. What happened?

Short week for me. I'm headed to our annual kayaking trip on the Delaware this Friday. I just wanted to kick back with my friends and my newly single self. I need to get away.

The guys on Deadliest Catch that were injured are from The Wizard boat. They were on top of the crab cages trying to put a tarp over them to prevent ice build up and a 40' wave hit them and slammed them into the cages and anchor. The captains brother has broken ribs but I'm not sure about the others that had black eyes. I know one hurt his back. Next week we should find out more. It's hard to believe the harsh elements these guys go through. Everytime I have crab legs I'm thanking them.

good mornin' ya'll! just a quick one here, hopefully. everytime go to post on here, work has just been getting in the way!, then with the just awesome weather we've been having, i haven't been inside after work at all. I've got the farmer tan(sorta) and the raccoon eyes now! lol

Steffie~ Deadliest Catch~~ that incident on the boat, that was on the Wizard, and at the start of opilio season(the worse time for crabbing, because of the Ice pack moving towards the grounds). Basically the boats have to keep the ice off them, because if they get too much ice build up...the boat could flip, sink...etc. The collection of Ice comes from the spray of the ocean & snow. Anyways, the crew of the Wizard were attempting to use an ice prevention tarp over the front of the crab pots, well as Keith headed out they got slammed with a 40' wave, the guys there were on top of the crab pot got slammed into them, scraps, bruised and his brother got cracked ribs. Not sure what else injury wise. some of the crab pots were damage from the weight of the crew that was tossed into them by the wave. if you like the shows, next week just before the new episode comes on, they re-air the prior week. It'll show what happened. They were lucky they didn't get swept overboard. hope that helps ya

My soon to be son-in-law just loves this series...also the Ice Road Truckers. Between me and my daughter we got him all the seasons from both shows on DVDs for this past Christmas and his birthday. He was really happy cause he's nut about them. I love to watch too, when I can. I guess now I know why when you go out for seafood and crablegs, it's so darn expensive

Would have loved to go to Nashville. too, but it was great to hear about the concert calls that Babygirl was getting...I think she heard the whole show!!! So she kept us informed!

I'm so waiting for warmer weather in the U.P. of Michigan in the early mornings I need to put our furnace on to knock off the chill in our home then turn it down before I leave at 7:30 AM

Steff, Definitely kicking myself for not going to Nashville! The party would have been fun....but I just really want to get back to Tennessee....I want to try and spend a whole week up there doing a big road trip across the state. I would do it when my work is closed around Christmas time.....but Tennessee in December...WAY TOO COLD! We usually close in July every year too....but this year is too short of notice, maybe next year in July I will try to get up there for awhile.

Deadliest Catch was awesome. I felt so bad for the Wizard crew.....the captain is my fav. captain in the fleet, he is so emotional. I also like the Greenhorn (Lynn) that got injured too....love his personality, he is adorable. Im proud to say I have never eaten any kind of crab in any shape or form....so Im not contributing to the need for crab and causing those poor guys to risk their lives for some silly shell fish! j/k

As for my truck....I wasnt supposed to get my tires till today but I was impatient and my mom offered to take it yesterday to try and get them to do it! They did it! I have my big tires now....it was a little disappointing at first bc I thought it would be higher, but its still awesome. I gave it its first car wash today....since its too tall to fit into the Laser Wash I had to do it by hand, it was fun. I posted a pic of it on Myspace and Twitter.

Yes, I am upset that I couldn't go to Nashville this year too.

Here's what I propose...we ALL save up for next year!!!!! HOw much fun would that be to have ALL of us there at the same time?!?!?!?!?!? I think that's a plan to stick to!

We should definitely all try to get to Nashville at the same time.....during a NON-CMA Fest week like Steff said! Not only will it not be as crowded but it would be cheaper too. As much as I want to go to CMA Fest....I just think I would lose it with all the crowds and end up going all "Brooklyn" on them....even though Im not from Brooklyn!

A Nashville trip sounds great!!! I'm always up for traveling ...I've been to Nashville once but that was 10 years ago and I wasn't into country at that time and it was Thanksgiving so there wasn't much to do and I was with my parents...but I would love to see TN in general...I travel a lot out of the country and I never get to see the United States..we had planned a road trip this year but we decided to visit our family instead..Actually depending if my hubby is not accepted into school next year, we are planning on going to Peru to do the Inca trail up to Machu Picchu....

So, we have a bunch of agoraphobics in here? That's weird. I like Nashville, but I would really want to go to CMA fest again. There's just too many good opportunities during that time. The crowds aren't that bad because everyone is on the move all the time. It's really not any different than going to a Kenny stadium show. But, whateves.

I can't get motivated today either Steff. It just poured here. It's supposedly moving on but it didn't help the get going in the morning at all.

Bren....I want to see lots of Tennessee too. I think its I-40 or something like that that runs almost all the way through the state, hitting all the big cities on the way.....it would be fun to take a week long road trip on that Interstate and stay in Nashville and Knoxville, etc. along the way. Of course see Lutrell bc thats where Kenny is from and Gumberland Gap bc thats where Rodney is from.

Karen, I agree with you on people having more FC parties throughout the year in different cities. I think I have heard a couple artists that do that....hasnt Dierks done it before? And Toby Keith had one in Houston last year. I think a couple others have done it too.

Though if Gary does have another FC party before Vegas....if its the day before or a couple days before the show, I think most people already have all their plans booked and paid for. I hope it doesnt make everyone mess up their plans.

Steff-how was the river? Didn't you go on a float trip? With all girls? Was yours as drama filled as mine was?

MY LORD! I don't think it's a good thing for a bunch of girls to get together in a confined area. LOL! DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA!!!! I'll try to make this as short as possible. We get there on Friday and I did nothing but drink on Friday night so Friday was OK. The biggest deal for me was this girl who I had only met once before. She is planning a wedding; already bought her dress, asking bridesmaids, reserved the church and...SHE HASN'T EVEN BEEN ASKED YET! I mean, that's all she could talk about! I had enough of hearing about it. Plus, everyone else there had a BF, husband or fiancee so they were all texting and calling all weekend. That got on my nerves too. So, Friday night we all sat down to play Taboo. This girl says to my sister, "I don't want to be on your team because you don't seem to smart". We were like ??????? Then, last night at dinner she starts talking about how Dierks M&G for his July concert is at 9 AM. I was like, how do you know that? I don't even know that and I HAVE a M&G. She kept saying she was on the "VIP List" and that she "called" and was trying to get a M&G with him. Then, we all started talking about Twitter and I told them that I have a hard time coming up with different things for my updates on Twitter, FB and Myspace. She said, why not just have them all say the same thing? I said because that's boring and she goes, Maybe your life is just boring. I almost slapped her. I said, "uh, no, it's not. I live in the real world." And she said, I was just kidding. Can't you take a joke? OMG. I was so done after that. Plus, my poison ivy is driving me nuts. The shot I had to get is NOT helping so I took a zyrtec and decided to go to sleep. But, before that more drama started. This girl got all pissed off at her BF because he was still at work at almost midnight and she said that she assumed he was cheating on her. She was stomping around, slamming things, drinking, cussing, and screaming. Then her and a friend of mine got into it and she was just told off. It ws pretty bad but needed. I was soooooo done with her and ready to come home!

Now, I'm watching my favorite show...TRUE BLOOD! It's so stinkin' good. It's kinda sick but it's soooo good!!!!! Actually, this is second time I've watched this episode.

Laura....I dont think I have the new issue in my town yet or something, or maybe I missed it. Who is on the cover? I just got the one with Miranda Lambert on the cover yesterday....but no Gary in it.

Bren...I heard "15 Minutes" for the first time on the radio today. It was awesome! lol Gary's new one wont be released officially to radio till the 29th of this month....so you wont be hearing it until AT LEAST that day.

Kalen....thats one reason I hate big groups, especially of people I dont know....and especially when they are all female. Sounds like I would have had a hard time not giving that girls face a good knocking around. Sounds like she is doing this whole wedding thing backwards....you book churches and buy dresses AFTER you get a ring on your finger. Sounds to me that her BF is probably cheating on her.....or at least I would be if I were her BF.

lol Oh...and I actually have been thinking for awhile now about how ANNOYING it is when someone updates all their "outlets" with the same message.....who really needs to update; facebook, myspace, and twitter with the same message?!?!? Its so annoying. So I applaud you with wanting to think of different things for each site.

Then, between the softball game & the All-Night Jam...(To quote Mr. Rodgers)...It was Wonderful Days in the neighborhood!!!

Kalen, I just read back about your story about the lake. That girl sounds like something else. Planning a wedding without an engagement? I would love to see how that turns out. Way to go for keeping your cool, you were the better person.

Groups of all girls can get kinda dicey. I lived with a bunch of girlfriends in college and we HATED each other. Once we moved out then we became friends again. You want to keep your friends? Don't live with them.

My weekend on the river was fun. It was actually a mixed group of guys and girls but they were all coupled off. I was the sole single one. (I recently broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years) I figured I need to get used to being alone for a while so I thought it was going to be kinda sad for me but it really wasn't. Considering the bickering my sister and her bf were doing in the car and on the river-it's good to be single hahaha.

I try to keep my Twitter, Facebook and Myspace interesting. It's difficult though to keep it fresh Social networking is exhausting!

Here's a little more about that stupid girl from the weekend. I just logged onto FB and my cousin PMs me and tells me that this girl sent her a text saying that she knows we're her cousins but she didn't have a very good time this weekend and that she can hang out by a pool at home. (My cousin was there this weekend too and knows this girl from high school) How rude is that to even say??? She was invited to come to OUR house and she didn't bring ANYTHING! She ate OUR food, drank OUR liquor, slept in OUR sheets, used OUR shower and then says something like that???? OMG! I might have to hunt her down and give her a little bit of a talking to!

And, ontop of that. I got into it with an employee today about healthcare. Long story, may tell it later tonight. Gotta get to work.

Maybe she's one of those "postive thinker" people!!! Think positive and it will happen...Now you know that never really works...'Cause, if it did, there would be a certain man playin' in my backyard right now!!! Wait!!! If I invite all of you, maybe you can add your "positive thoughts" too...The combined forces of all our "positive thoughts" will make him have to detour...make him have bus problems that can't be fixed for a couple of days...make him decide to ride it out around here until it's fixed...and, since he's stuck here anyway he'll just go ahead and put on a concert in the backyard!!! The weekend was fun though - put a bunch of New Yorkers on a raft down the Delaware River and you find yourself with an afternoon of laughs and curse words (maybe some kinda un-intentional swipes with a paddle now and again).

So I just watched He's Just Not That Into You on DVD - a lot better than I heard, some laugh out loud moments and may I dare say it? I misted up at one point. Damn you Ben Affleck!

My sister said that after the girl said maybe my life was boring that she had just cut some of her meat and she took her knife and was turning it in her hand. LOL! Barb and Kalen....as far as a know Im still planning the Oklahoma shows in Sept. As long as I dont go on any big spending sprees before then where I dont have any money. Now I just need to figure out who Im going in on tickets with...or just try my luck for a single and hope I get next to someone I like. I just want to be front row.

Barb....I would be driving around with nowhere specific to go BUT my MPG is now down to 12.9mpg bc I have a lead foot! If I could learn how not to drive like a maniac and conserve gas better....I might start joy riding.

Sue...."He's Just not That Into You" was better than I was thinking it was going to be too. I was kinda disappointed in myself for liking it. Though I do have to say Im pretty sure I liked it a lot due to Bradley Cooper and nothing more. YUMMY!

I on the other hand am in the opposite boat....I have been single for 7yrs. bc I have commitment issues, I hear the word boyfriend and usually run away. Even though I still cringe when I say "boyfriend" I think its about time I try to have a real relationship bc I really need to start growing in that dept......so my cowboy and I made it official today. We are "together".

I know what you mean about the MPG's on your truck. Around town you probably won't get over 15 mpg. I bet you can't wait to take one of your road trips in it.

Kalen, so much for a totally relaxed girls weekend, huh? I would have been mad, too. Some people.......

The weather on Saturday didn't cooperate or make for a good garage sale day--it was cool, breezy, and 'sprinkly'. It kept a lot of people away. Despite that, I was able to make $225.

More storms came through this way last night--enough with the rain for awhile, I say. Today, it's cleared off and is sunny.

Later on today my sons and I are going to a Kansas City Royals baseball game together. We haven't done that in years. I hope we have a good time.

I can honestly say that when Alicia is on the road...EVERYONE WATCH OUT! She was cracking me up driving in Dallas when we went for Gary. Me and Jennifer were laughing in the car behind her. She's be in the far left lane and then just cut someone off to get over. It was quite funny. Congrats on your Bo. I think it must be something in the water. Literally, everyone that I "hang" out with is now taken. It's kinda depressing. It's not that I really "want" a SO, but, when EVERYONE I know has one; it makes for a lonely time. At least Alicia and Jen will still go to concerts. Speaking of Alicia---You need to go to Gary in September! STOP Ebaying. You don't need ANOTHER camera

Barb-will it be your same group for Gary again? Are you going to try the presale or through the casino? I think we'll be getting an email anyday now from the FC about presale for that show.

I haven't heard Today on the radio and probably won't. My radio station doesn't play Gary. I'm lucky to get one song a week by him and it's usually one of his older ones.

Has everyone watched the video that is up on the fans page of this site? It's pretty cool and Gary has a little message at the end of it.

Connie-sorry about your garage sale but it sounds like you still made some good money. Have a good time at the baseball game. That sounds like fun...and HOT. Hopefully they'll win too. They haven't been doing so well have they? But, I honestly don't pay too much attention to them either so what do I know? Should be a good time; have fun!
