Last week Phil Vassar came to Knoxville for a benefit concert for the Second Harvest Food Bank. It was $5 or 5 cans for entry and anyone who went got an incredible show. My mom, me and one of my friends braved the middle of the week night (the show didn't end up starting til 9:45). Mom and I ended up going out to eat at Calhoun's before hand..Well we ended up eating at the bar b/c the dining room was packed and there was a wait and the concert started at 9 and I did not want to be late. Well we got done eating and my mom had to go to the restroom and I was like I will just wait for you outside. Well little did I know that when I went out side about 50 feet from me stood the one and only Phil Vassar, apparently him and his band ate their too. I couldn't believe my eyes..I even second guessed myself..but it was him..So mom comes outside and I tell her who is over there, and she goes well go talk to him..Well by then they started walking to their car, so I was like well too late I missed my chance..Well turns out I just happened to park next to them.. Talk about luck.. I told mom I gotta go. I wasn't going to waste this opportunity to meet one of my favorite singers (2nd only to Gary). So I walk to my car and of course I locked my door and I have to unlock it from my passenger side b/c my car is retarded and I can't unlock it one the drivers side.. Well got to the drivers dide of car and he said hey and asked me how i was doing and what I was doing.. And I introduced myself and said I was on my way to go and see him perform. He gave me a hug and said we'd have to have a drink later. ( I was thinking yeah right, but you never know!) He is such a good looking man and soo nice. Well the story gets better. So we're all leaving the same place to go to the same place, and he ends up pulling up next to me at one of the stop signs and is waves at me.. We get to the venue and mom and I park our cars and meet up with my friend and go into the place.. We go in get a drink and then wait for the concert to start (we were about 15 minutes from when we thought it was going to start) so were kind of standing off to the side of one of the bars and Mike Hammond one of the local radio directors in our area comes up to me.. He asks me if I'm the Michele from the Calhoun's parking lot.. And I'm thinking yeah, and my friend is giving me a weird look and my mom is smiling. Of course I'm like yeah I am. Well he goes Phil wanted me to make sure that you got these meet and greet passes. I couldn't believe what was happening first I meet him in the parking lot and then I get to a meet and greet pass.. So I got a picture with him and got his autograph from one of the promo pictures that his manger gave us before we went to take pic with him and he signed that and our meet and greet pass . And then to make the night even better I got to hang out with him after the show. He is such an incredible man and to do a benefit concert for our local food bank says a lot about a person. I am so glad I got to have such a fabulous chance to meet my first famous person the way I did.

You are one lucky woman...I love my piano man!!! LOL!!! He's such a nice guy...Even does the Christmas for Kids benefit concert 'bout every year!!!

His is one of my favorites as well. His autogragh is tattooed on my arm right next to Gary's!! Phil's was there first and when Gary signed my arm he went over Phil's Smily face a bit, so had to ajust it. Couldn't cover up Phil's!!
