Okay, I'm in a quandry here. Originally, I'm from Connecticut, and grew up watching Red Sox baseball on TV, in the 70's and 80's. Anybody old enough out there to still remember Carney Lansford? I was extremely happy when the Red Sox were able to get rid of "the curse of the Bambino" and won the World Series, in 2004.
I moved to Colorado on the same day the Rockies played their first baseball game as a team, on April 5, 1993, so I kind of feel a kinship to them, as well.
Now, BOTH teams are in the World Series! Who do I root for? Decisions, decisions!
Well, I think I'll have to root for the Rockies, because the Red Sox have already won the World Series, and the Rockies haven't. Besides, it would be great to see this state go crazy again, like we did when the Broncos won back to back Super Bowls, and also, when the Avalanche won their two Stanley Cups.
But, overall, I'd have to say whomever wins the World Series this year, I'll be happy. Hey, at least the Yankees aren't in it!
