I just want to get on a soap box for a minute. Please ladies and men who have women in their life. Please do self breast exams and go for your mammograms. A self exam saved my life. Just six months ago I found a lump. I went for a mommogram and biopsy. It was breast cancer. I had a double mastectomy on 10/01/08, a hystorectomy on 12/15 and my final phase of breast reconstruction on 4/1. I am cancer free and I caught it early enough that I did not have to have radiation or chemo. God blessed me with wonderful doctors. I post this not for sympthoy but to hopefully encourage someone to get checked it could save your life. And during all of this I went to 4 Gary concerts and didn't miss a beat. The last one was March 27, the Friday before I had my final surgery. What a wonderful week.

No problem I am glad you healed and cancer free. I go every year without fail and get my mammogram. Plus my regular check up with the Gyno. That saved my life many years ago. So if anyone here hasn't got the shot for that virus get it. I am living proof that being detected early can save your uterus and your life. Plus I had two kids after I was treated. So God blessed me with a great doctor that knew what to do and when to do it.

Thats awsome!!! I have one son that is 6 and my only concern was being here for him. His dad has nothing to do with him and I am all he as besides my parents.
Glad you are cancer free. That's wonderful! My Aunt and cousin both died with breast cancer and I always go every year for test. Thanks for sharing your story and I do hope it helps someone.

Your guardian angel was sure looking out for you!!! Thank God you're doing good now and god bless you for caring enough for others to share your story. Yes...get that mammogram and pap smear every year, I know I do.
