Please join me on March 26 by wearing purple on PURPLE DAY. This international day was begun last year by a 9 year old girl with Epilepsy who wanted to raise awareness about it and to encourage people to learn more about this disorder.

It is a seizure disorder that effects over 50 million people world-wide. Some well known people with epilepsy include: Agatha Christie, Joan of Arc, Julius Caesar, Charles Dickens, Thomas Edison, Richard Burton, Florence Griffith Joyner, Bud Abbott, Adam Horovitz (Beastie Boys), Pope Pius IX, Ad-Rock, Danny Glover, Lindsey Buckingham, and Neil Young.

Count me in too. I suffered a grand mal seizure when I was younger. I haven't had a seizure in 20 years..
