I am going Dec. 6 for an Anterior Repair, my bladder has fallen and they go thru vaginally and push it back up, sling it in mesh, suspend it from your pelvic bones and then sew your _ back shut. I am also having a Monarc Sling placed around my Urethra and suspended thru my pelvic bones. I am wondering if anyone on here has had this?, or know anyone that has? No one in my circle of friends has had it up here, any info. would be good...or your experience with it even better! I am finding that beacuse of the nature of the surgery no one wants to talk about it. It is the old cliche, its's an embarrasing topic for people. It would be great to hear from someone else that has had it done.

Cindy my friend.... so sorry to hear of your medical troubles. I do however have some good news for you. I do know someone who has had this done. I asked her and she said It does hurt but not too bad... nothing you can't live through. She was on bed rest for a week or two. Then she would come in and work for a few hours then go home and rest. She says that having her 10 pound baby was worse than the surgery.

Can't help with any info, but just wanted to say good luck with the surgery. Hope all goes well.

i work with urologists & ob/gyn surgeons who do this procedure routinely..& know a few friends who've had this procedure (believe me, it happens to women in their 20's & 30's & they are very happy about being able to sneeze & not have to worry about an accident-LOL)

Thanks so much Jules for the link. Do you also know anything about the anterior repair they are going to do on my bladder? Apparently they are going vaginally thru the front and then slinging my bladder up in mesh as well. If women in their twenties are getting this, I feel special, I made it to 47!
