hello everyone.
i am sure all of you remember what happened to my twin sister back in june. (lost both of her hands in a work place accident.) well the time has come, she is coming "home" tomorrow and is spending time with our mom and i for the rest of january. and on february 2nd, she will be in NH getting her new hands. she has "mastered" her hooks and is ready to move onto the next step. each knuckle will move and she will be able to hold a styrophone cup without smashing it. (she has withheld from going through drive thrus because she cant grab her drink from the person. she has to slide it on the counter and bring it to her chest.) she is so excited.
before she goes to NH she wants to get a few tattoos. one is a portrait of kenny chesney. (her man :0) ) the harley davidson logo, and a pair of praying hands down near her ankle, with the words strength. she said her feet are her hands. she wants me to get one with her. (her gift to me) i was thinking of a crow sewing the word THEM on my inside wrist. (t.h.e.m. is my families names. Thayne, Hailey Eric and my name, Michelle) she wants me to get one for Gary, i am unsure what to get... so i ask your help.... i want to get the bucking bronco logo. has anyone gotten the new skeleton logo? if so, could you tell me where you got your picture from? this will be my first tattoo!! i am a little nervous but i say if my sister can go through all she has and now wants to get 3 before she goes to get her hands i guess i can handle a little pain myself... for her.

I have the skeleton logo. I used the CD for Living Hard and the tat artist filled in the ribs that were missing. He did a great job. I think I have a pic of it in my profile. Good luck. And that's excellent news about your sister..
Glad to hear the good news about your sister. That sounds wonderful. I don't know much about the tatts so good luck on those.

I think it would be a neat idea for the two of you to get the "hands & crow" at the same time...My bf & I got matching tattoos a couple of years ago...That tattoo is very special to me; 'cause, they were done together identically!!! However, it I were her; I'd wait on the other two...Once they're yours - THEY'RE YOURS!!!
If she decides later that it's too much; it's really expensive to get removed...So, I'd live with the 1st one for a little while...Plus, I've seen A LOT of "HD" & "Skeleton" tattoos...If she waits; she might come up with a variation of both logos that she likes more...Like I said: JMHO!!!
Great news about your sister, I am so glad that she was able to recover from such a tragic accident! I wish her all the luck that I can.
But I would tell her also to only get one at a time, her tastes may change as she deals with everything. As a suggestion, I would try and stay simple on your first tat, because it will be there for a long time to come.

this past tuesday after work she picked me up and we got our tats. she got her praying hands near her ankle and i got my family one. (a crow sewing the word THEM, the crow has a piece of the "thread" in its beak) my son was there and the only regret i have is that my husband and daughter were not there to see it being done. i love it. it pretty much takes up my whole forearm. my husband likes it but was not thrilled of where i got it. he is just concerned on what it will look like in 5 years. i respect his concern. i am not going to get my gary tat. we talked about it and he said he just wouldnt feel right. i have to agree.. my husband puts up with my gary addiction quite well.. since i have gary pictures hanging in my painting room, i constantly have the cds blairing in my jeep, and my jeep is painted "gary themed" and his logo is on my hood and im a member of this great board. ive come to my own desision and i will leave my body as my husband loves it.... because in the end.. and as much as i love Gary, my husband eric, is really my world.
