Okay so I started Jenny Craig today. Thanks for all the info you all gave me on what you have tried. It took me a while to figure out what plan to go with. Hopefully this will work for me. It is expensive but in the end it will be worth it. Wish me luck!!

Yeah. My nephew is quite the comedian. He's actually a magician/mentalist with the i.q. of a genius. My sister used to never have salt in her house when he was like 4+ yrs old bcuz he would use it all doing experiments in their garage. He's always been a little off center. One year for Christmas he asked for a flashlight that changed colors & then another year he asked for a suit with a bow-tie.

Well ladies I must say that I am having a hard time EATING ALL THIS FOOD. There are alot of fruits and veggies. ALOT more than I would normally eat in a day on any other diet. But I do not have the opportunity to get hungery. I dont feel like I am losing any weight but I guess we will see when I weigh in on Monday!!

Good luck on your diet. I am starting the south beach diet on Monday because I am having surgery(on left knee) that day and my husband will be cooking for me, so I will not be able to exercise. I will be starting phase 1 and that's mainly protein, veggies and cheese. My husband likes to cook pastas, gravies, and potatoes, so I have to have my own menu.

Good luck to you on your weight loss program. Jenny Craig is expensive but it's a good one from what I hear. Maybe, you'll be able to knock off the weight quickly and then have learned all the tricks so you don't have to pay for too long. In the end though, it will be worth it. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your progress.

I lost 18 pounds last year. It took several months and was hard at times and I had lots of set backs (I had poor health in 2008), but I feel so much better now. I have high blood pressure but since losing the weight my blood pressure has been better than it's been my entire adult life (I'm 41). And I have so much more energy I love it -- hubby loves the new me too which is fun.

I used the free site called SparkPeople.com to help me plan my food and work outs, and track my progress. It's actually a free health site so has lots of information on all kinds of stuff, not just weight loss. And did I mention it's free.

Anyhow, hang in there and don't be too hard on yourself if you slip up from time to time -- just keep on going!! Good luck.
