Keith's 2009 is already shaping up to be a busy one. A brand new video for his recently released single "Sweet Thing" is due this month, an as of yet untitled new album is set for release on March 31st and now comes further details of Urban's already announced intentions for a 2009 tour.

Fifty-eight North American cities, including Nashville, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Toronto and Vancouver, will play host to Urban's tour, which will kick off this May, and likely go through the summer and into the Fall. For play dates and further ticket information, fans should go to KeithUrban.net and/or stay tuned to their local Country radio station.

Critics have hailed Keith as "one of the best reasons in the world to attend a live concert" and have been quoted as saying that "fans would be hard-pressed to find a much better country -- or rock -- show anywhere."

One supporting act, either Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bently, Glen Campbell or The Zac Brown Band will appear at each show.

I like the fact that he has alot of hot openers so it wont be so boring , preying glen campbell isnt at any of the shows im going to, id rather see Dierks, jason & Lady A, all great acts live n easy on the eyes. LOL

I'm so irritated! Keith usually comes out within a few hours of where I live. He's only going to be in SoCal this year. Grrrrrr. I was planning on going to see him with my best friend who has never experienced a Keith concert. >.<

Everyone knows Keith ALWAYS has dates that just pop up. Hes dont ALOT of shows in Ca that were not on the tour list. So there is still possibles, I mean the tour isnt till May & goes threw the summer, so he could add a show in northern CA, but he was just there after his tour ended with Kenny too if im correct.

With being able to see about 10-12 shows im hoping to see the diffrent acts. Ive seen Sugarland, Jason Aldean, Dierks n LA before & they are all great live so im lookin forward to seeing them again. Im hoping glen campbell isnt there when i go, i grew up on his stuff when i was a tiny tot n it didnt impress me then. LOL What i think is funny is on his board fans were discussing asto who wed like to see with keith, & the 4 i want to see are 1s that were mentioned alot. So maybe keith read that & took that into considerations. I mean whats the changes he picked people fans mentioned . He could have just picked 1, u know? Now just to hope i get a bse, LOL even tho i had 4 last tour, im in my new membership again right before the tour starts, so im able to get another bse with Keith. YEAH!!!!!!!

I think its going to be a fun tour, & im sure Sunday will be there at some shows, it would be cute to have Dierks bring his baby too, so the 2 can play, how addorrible is that?!

I know how you feel. I live in Northern California also. I am hoping he will add Sacramento or San Jose near the LA dates. Also noticed an Ontario, CA listed after LA. Interesting?

Actually i think Gary opening for Keith helped Gary get more positive exposure then hes had before. More Keith fans have taken notice of him. ANd i dont think opening for someone is bad, I mean when has Gary been able to sell out a bigger venue?! Keith is in a higher demand so anyone who tours with him will gain more exposure. Like Sugarland needs to open?! NO but they did, why? Maybe cuz with the prices of things now its cheaper for them to open for someone else n let him foot the bill< LOL Dierks can sell out smaller venues like Gary as well, but he is opening for Keith as well as Brad Paisley, there is NOTHING wrong with that. Why not give the people their moneys worth by giving them 2 great shows, rather then a local opener n them? YEs it means they dont get to play the extra 30 or 40 mins, but it gets them more fan base once people see them open for someone. There are alot of people who would never have ever seen Gary live or started liking Gary had they NOT seen him open for Keith. So yeah if u want Gary to stay small clubs he shouldnt open for anyone in a big arena n gain exposure. At the 8 shows i saw with Gary n Keith, It seemed like Gary was happy to be in a big venue n seeing THOUSANDS of people in the arena vs 1000 in a small club. HE was able to strut the catwalk n n reach out to fans all along it, & he did. I didnt see him complaining he was on the tour, if he didnt want to be on it he could have said NO, the artist can refuse.

At any rate, Keith puts on a great show, i cant even imagine how he is going to improve the show besides add extra to the catwalk n spawn out sideways, n jump in the crowd more. LOL He already gave guitars away at every show the 2nd leg, n the 1st leg pulled people up onstage. Id LOVe to see him sing a song with the openers too, Dierks n him would be GREAT, as would Jason ALdean n sugarland.

I have waaaay too many of KU's shows on my list already!! And I agree - there will be some more venues trickling in there too! (What am I saying - there can never be too many!)

Dierks told a friend of mine this past weekend that he is only scheduled to play at three of Keith's shows on the upcoming tour... Now - this may change but.... just a little heads up... ??

Dierks is rumored to open for Kenny when he comes to San Francisco. So I am happy!

It was said on some sugarland site that there were doing most of the shows with keith. Some of the people on keiths tour are the same as whos on kennys tour, so i think thats why they are switching with keith. BUt i think its great. SO hopefully ill get to see jason A, Lady A, Sugarland, & Dierks atleast 1 time. LOL

Sorry to hear about your work situation. I think there are laws about paychecks bouncing. Do not know about your state. What is your manager going to do if he fired you? Find someone else to work for free?

I think it is sad the the fan club is not releasing dates. Everyone else is listing at least the cities that they are opening for Keith. I love how they claimed that those were test dates. BS! I think he posted too soon.

well i finally got the checks cashed. I took the bounced checks to ThEIR bank, & said i wanted to cash them. the lady asked if i had an acct n i told her no & my bank wont cash bouncing checks, that the business does their banking at THIS bank n thats where i want my checks cashed the owner said the checks were good. The lady cashed em & told me that if they do bounce monday, that the buisiness will be responsible not me. I told her thats why i brought them there. Now i have to take the bounced fees notice n copies of bounced checks to them to pay the fees. I didnt go to work sat< & now im sick with a bad sore throat but am going in tomorrow, Im telling em i want paid cash at the end of the wk, no more paychecks that are gonna bounce.

YEah i didnt see the dates on the site, i was working all day. The only person posting the keith dates is Lady A, none of the other acts have the actual dates for keiths tour listed. I myself said if they were TEST dates to try a new feature why not use fake cities, like MONKEYVILLE< URBANTOWN, n stuff like that to save the drama n confusion. U know? I think honestly as much as i love keith, his fanclub n board moderators are a bunch of idiots> LOL My membership is up in 20 days n im going to renew only to try to get a bse agian this tour. I think things would be much better if they could set up us gettin great seats like rascal flatts n brads fanclubs get. TM hords like 20-40 of the best seats, then their broker site gets some too. SO as long as fanclubs have to deal with tm, n tm is gettin all the best tickets its going to suck. THen sometimes the openers get better tickets, n with having 2 hot bands on the bills the brokers will hord tickets n charge outrageously. Its gonig to be a mess over there when the tickets go onsale. Im just hoping i can get the days off they go onsale, event tho the presales suck, it the only chance to get a ticket, LOL

The radio station here said theyd announce the location for the show, today, so am hoping they release actual dates soon.

There was a press release that went out to the stations saying the dates would be out today - one dj I know was expecting to have his hands on them around midnight last night but no go. Now it looks like Friday.... latest word anyhoo.

Sure wish the ticketing would get fixed this go round but not holding my breath - sure would be nice to have some good seats that I only pd face value for.

Yeah alot of people seem to be gettin dates from djs, like st paul may 14th detroit jun 6th & philly aug 2nd, them are the 3 i saw people posting . So once again the radio is beating the fanclub to the dates, unless they post them EARLY EARLY thurs like 6 am> LOL As long as the presales are done threw tm, we wont really get tickets, they hord them for the auctions n for their ticket broker company ticketsnow. I mean come on if u cant buy a ticket cuz its sold out they link u RIGHT to the ticket broker, yet they claim they dont work with brokers , DUH!!!

Ive gotten better seats from general sales, but i have bought off ebay before n paid more. I cant see doing it this yr with the way things are finacially. I dont even know if ill have a job in the next mth & i have to move in june too. Preying i can still manage to get a decent ticket to some show. LOL

Its gonna suck when tickets go onsale, i work mon-sat 9-3 so i wont be able to get online till 330 pm & by then there wont be anything left for me, IM gonna be so broke if i have to rely on brokers to get something decent.

LIve nation IS TM , for the past 2 1/2 yrs when i go there to get presales for my CITI credit card it takes me threw the same TM proccess, & the bill shows as TM. They arent MERGINg they are already 1, but people dont realize that if they dont use the site to know it.

ANd yes TM does send people to the ticketsnow site cuz they own that broker site, TM hords the best seats for the broker part of their company, n leave us crap. And until artists can make deals with venues to set aside the best seats for fanclub not brokers n do a way that brokers CAN NOT get ahold of the blocks of fanclub tickets we wont get anything decent. Its been said many times TM owns ECHO who actually has alot of the fanclubs, so thats why they HAVE TO use TM. Kinda sucks tho. I miss the old days of TICKETRON when u stood in line or got on the phone & got the 1st few rows when u were 1 of the 1st 5 people or online only a few mins.

I am not expecting the tickets sales to be any better than before.

Dates are up on keiths site & most of the UNCONFIRMED were right. LOL And what sucks is the fanclub presales are on tues as in a few days. So now im going to be going in late 2 1/2 hrs to work, im gonna have to tell a fib to do so. And then if i dont get anything decent, tell them i cant work on Sat cuz thats the general sale, which i sometimes get better. LOL

According to Luke the mod he claims there will be better tickets this time starting at 3rd row. And i think with having all the shows on sale at the same time it means more people are likely to get a decent seat to atleast 1 show rather then the same people gettin the better tickets n brokers getitn them all. Brokers have fanclub memberships as well & people who sell their tickets so by doing it all at once then it means they wont get all the best seats either. Just my hopefull logic. Ive got 6 shows to buy for on tues, Wish me luck! LOL

yeah - I think there will be quite a few people with 10am "dr. appts.' this Tues.! LOL! Yeah the dates were pretty much "confirmed" and they didnt come from dj's - there were quite a few unhappy djs as they were told they would have them by a certain date & time and they didn't....

The presales - I still must let out a BIG GROAN on this one - I mean Ticketmaster even being the MONOPOLY that it is, still cannot handle but a certain level of traffic and I see possible problems with servers being overloaded and that affecting the presales. HOPE I am wrong on this one - but I have personally seen it and felt the pain of it previously... There will be a load of people on all at the same time trying to get tickets...

Oh and the brokers will still have just as good a chance as any of us... All we needed to help that little situation out is will call on the DAY OF THE SHOW. Not too hard to do I wouldn't think.... I mean people can still see what tix they're being offered and throw them back and take those kind of chances but.... it is hard to sell a ticket that you can't get in your hands til the day of the show - That one thing right there would fix soooo much! Oh well - I am still hopeful (really more like prayerful) that one or two of the 7+ tickets I plan to purchase for this tour will be face value and not broker value. Fingers crossed! Toes Crossed! All my tix were from brokers last tour....

I'm at least glad to see the majority of the first leg out there now - we can take a deep breath and do some planning - One thing for sure - I will STILL be in Nashville for MR. ALLAN's fc party! But I think I am just hittin' the town and the fc parties for few days, bar hoppin' and having a good time - skipping the convention center and Ford Field. Gotta go to Atlanta on 6-13! LOL

Were not totally sure the catwalk is only 5 rows, that may be just for that venue cuz its smaller. Alot of the venues im goin to dont have seatin charts yet. I guess as long as it says row 1-5 or a-e in the 1st front sections i should be happy> LOL BUT did u see where it was said we get tickets starting 3rd row & every 3 rows, It use to be every 2 rows. So noone will get front row from the fanclub, which is not even right. TM will hord tickets for their ticketsnow company n their auctions too.

They said for the past 5 yrs they were going to improve the fanclub presales but they havent, yet membership is up. They know we renew for the bses & were still gonna go to the shows. Brokers know well pay the price if we want to sit close. BUT this tour i cant afford that 1st 5 rows for 7 shows, LOL I mean did u see the prices on the broker sites for upper level seats, its like over $300, They had floor seats like last floor section for $500 these people are NUTS!!!!! Heck i paid $150 to sit 4th row catwalk at 2 shows with gary n keith, So im not about to pay more then that this tour since there isnt a catwalk. Its shoking that hed cut the catwalk to only 5 rows with it being such a popular thing. Maybe he cant get the equipment now? Ill ask him next time i see him ok?

Good luck to those who are trying for the presales, I only have 7 shows to try for, atleast 1 show is in a diffrent timezone. But work wasnt happy when i told them i would be an hr or 2 late cuz i had something important i couldnt postpone, LOL So heres to hoping i can get atleast 1 decent ticket since there isnt a long catwalk this tour. Apparently some shows are sayign there is a small catwalk of 5-7 rows with only 5-8 seats across, so its going to be EXPENSIVE to buy 1 of those if i can manage to get 1 on a presale. PREY for me, LOL

Pre-sales yesterday thru Mville stunk like poop - today I get on or DB's pre-sale - got AWESOME seats - gotta love Dierks (He really is the man - I mean DUDE!) - seems like Sugarland and Jason Aldean had something to offer their fans today during their presales as well - Just saying...

BTW I've ended up going to both shows - M'ville presale I am on row 23 - DB presale - front & center row 5, aisle...Hmmm

I love Ku - one of my faves & the guys - Brian, Brad, C-Rod, Jerry and Q man... Just had to say that too... Love them all, they are awesome & I just can't say enough good things about them... But - Somebody needs to stand up and do something - I could fix it if someone would give me the power....

I tried for the CT show this am under the Sugarland presale and couldn't get anything on the floor, not even for 1 seat. GRRRR

That Stinks!! Sorry you didn't have better luck. That is why I kept the 23rd row seats - who knows, they may even end up being halfway decent depending on the stage set but it is hard to tell...
With there not being a "GOOD" seating chart anywhere except for MAYBE a few venues, who knows what they are buying. I mean there are generic end stage charts, the old chart from the last tour which shows the long catwalk and the round acoustic stage at the end & then there is the latest and newest I have seen with a short stub of a catwalk with half moon shaped stage front which almost represents 2 small catwalk like areas in each corner. My best guess on the rows that the newer catwalk would span would be anywhere from 5 to 12 rows.... Max

I must say, I have heard much better results regarding the presales today than yesterday... these have come from people from all part of the U.S. I am sure there are plenty of stories like yours as well - those who didn't pull good tickets. I hope you find some good seats - I do know the venue presales are tomorrow.

WOWZERS and congrats!!! I like everyone else happen to think that KU's presale bite the big one for sure I'm going to have to do like everyone else and go with the general sale. The only fanclubs I'm in are Gary's and Keith's so I wasn't lucky enough to try for others.

Does anybody know anything about a show for Louisville, KY? We were on the original list, but when dates were released, no Louisville date. Just wondering if anybody else has heard anything. I'm hoping he'll be here for the fair--sometimes they don't let info about those shows out until spring. got my fingers crossed

Hey Joy! Louisville is in August - it IS at the fair... around the time Gary is playing there but not a back to back day. I don't remember the date right off the top of my head. The 2nd part of the month, I believe. There are other shows not "posted" on the official list yet too - Knoxville is the 28th of August and Nashville is the 29th.

P.S. GIRL! I promise I haven't forgotten about that cd... just been on the go too much - one of these days!

Thanks, I did ok for those 2 however, the 23rd row, if I had originally been plannig on that show, I would have bought through DB too. I don't like having to play "beat the brokers" think it is Bull You Know What! Easily prevented. Out of the 6 or so shows I was INITIALLY planning on attending. - the presale did bite lots of things! There have been lots said - even the record label is "aware" - not that that really makes a difference necessarily. country music tattle tale - a blog site has lots of responses from fans regarding their personal experiences. Apparently not just the fans read it... hmmm My main thing is I saw KU 6 times last year and EVERY freakin ticket came from brokers - pd thru the nose. This year - so it was said - change would happen - but it didn't. I mean if Bon Jovi can guarantee their Fan club the first 15 rows - I don't wanna hear anybody crying that they are "too big".. I mean granted the tix were 160 a piece after joining the fc for 50 bucks but I don't even think it would deem necessary in most cases to have those prices. Oh and we DID get to pick our tickets up from the Sporanos - LOL - Just kidding! Jersey boys though!

One more example - AC/DC fc presale - 3rd row - a friend of mine - not me - however, I would have LOOOOOVED that myself!

I have to put my foot down and NOT buy from brokers this year as it only adds to the situation. I too bought a couple from brokers last year and I will be happy just to be at the concerts but in this bad financial time I had to put my foot down and be happy with the pre-sale tickets I bought but it really angers me when the non-headliners are getting better tickets than KU. He's got to step in. I also read the tattletale blog and completely agree and have agreed for years. Nothing has changed in the fanclub since I've been in it and it's a constant song we all sing unfortunately. An example of mine that I use....I bought 2nd row Alice Cooper tickets for face value. I know, crazy eclectic tastes I have, but the point is that KU/his people do not care about setting aside decent fan seats. I do not believe for a second that every 3rd row was set aside Sorry I had to vent lol
