My sister & I are doing the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer in Houston on April 4-5. This is the actual kick-off walk.

I was wondering if anyone would like to join us? I am going to create a team for the walk. I was thinking of calling it Hwy Junkies or if someone can think of a better name I'm open to suggestions, although, I do want to keep Hwy Junkies as part of the name.

I've requested to have more information sent to me but it also looks like once you register you are given a page where other people can view & make donations. The first day the walk is 26.2 miles & the second day the walk is 13.1 miles. This is from their website:

"The Avon Foundation places a priority on returning funds to the geographic area in which each Avon Walk takes place with a special emphasis on reaching low-income, elderly and minority individuals and those with inadequate health insurance."

There are many different walks happening across the country on different days. Who knows........ maybe we can get fans from all over the country to do their own Hwy Junkie group & walk in their area.
