I've been building a man! George Washington actually. It's for history. I'm in a group with five other girls and we are doing a case study on the U.S. colonies and we have to do a leader debate and blah blah blah. Anyway, I'll just get to the point. Every group is required to make a monument to represent their leader. All the other groups have Latin American colonies...I had a feeling we would get the U.S. We decided to built George Washington for our monument.
OMG it has been so much fun! Five of us went to Valeree's house yesterday and worked on him. We never made a plan but it's worked out pretty well so far. Julia brought most of the supplies. We formed his frame out of chicken wire and covered that over with newspaper. I don't want to explain the whole process. Anyway, it looks so freakin' real it's scary. It seemed like it was a dead body just laying there. Georgie is in camo pants right now and doesn't have a head yet. We still need to dress the upper half of his body.
Julia and Kailee spent like ten minutes forming his butt. They wanted it just right. LOL I bet you can just imagine all the sexual references we made as we were building him...it was just too tempting. We kept forgetting that it was George Washington...I think that was due to the fact that we had him wearing a System of a Down shirt yesterday.
I think our monument is going to kick butt! However, we haven't spent much time on the presentation part.
I just wanted to share this because it's been the highlight of my week!
I think I'll try to post a pic when it's all completed.

Sounds like a fun project to do with a bunch of friends. Now, work on the presentation part and I'm sure you should get a good grade! Post a pic of him if you can. Good Luck!!!

I'll post a pic eventually...
I was so PO'ed today. Some of my group members were being extremely rude. One of them scribbled corrections all over the paper that I wrote for what I’m going to say during the presentation. Her corrections made my paper worse! Heck no, I’m NOT changing ANYTHING. Sometimes I cannot believe the nerve of people. I never even asked her to read or correct it.
Also, two of the group members insinuated that this other group member and I didn’t do much of anything. HELLO!!!! I was over at the one girl’s house for two days working on the project! I know that the other group member wasn’t at her house at all…but she did her part. I focused on controlling my temper. I’m all about avoiding confrontations and drama.
Haha…it feels wonderful to rant. The thing that irritates me the most is people with superiority complexes. I know way too many people who fit that description. So sickening….especially when I’m not even capable of being arrogant.

I won't forget! I'll do it on the weekend...I've been so busy with HW this week. I don't understand why teachers seem to believe we'll learn the best if we have crazy amounts of work to do. Then again, I guess I asked for this when I decided to take five IB (similar to AP) classes. I guess college credit will make up for the pain involved. LOL

Here's the pic of Georgie I promised:

Wanna know why he doesn't have eyes? No one felt like drawing them on.
Funny thing is...I didn't even realize I had a flickr account. I went to flickr and it said "Welcome tracyfireheart." Haha...saved me the trouble of creating an account.
Last week was hellish. I'm so happy it's over!!!!

That's great. With him not having eyes, it just makes it look like he's sleeping.
