If you really want to splurge.........HOTEL ZAZA-Dallas.

It is a great place! Lots of packages to take advantage of and doesn't require a lot of travel time to get to.

IMO the best getaways don't require a lot of planning (let somone else do it) and do not have to be long in length.

Hi Denise,
Congrats on all those great years together. I'm sure whatever you do it will be awesome. I think my most romantic trip was to Hawaii. I loved Maui, it was beautiful. Kinda spendy though and my second pick would be Vegas baby. LOL Don't know what it is about Vegas but I just love it. Happy planning! You'll have to let us know where you end up.
DPJERZYEK
Yes..let us know where you'll go. And congratulations!!! tongue.gif

THERE IS THIS GREAT STEAK HOUSE WITH BED AND BREAKFAST IN GRAHAM, TEXAS CALLED WILDCATTER RANCH AND STEAK HOUSE. IT IS NESTLED UP ON A HILL AND HAS A GORGEOUS VIEW AND THE BEST DARN STEAKS YOU EVER HAD! HAS THIS HUGE FIREPLACE THAT REMINDS ME OF THE PONDEROSA!! ON FRIDAY NIGHT THEY HAVE A LIVE COUNTRY BAND OUT ON THE TERRACE WHERE YOU CAN DANCE. IT'S NOT TOO BIG. JUST RIGHT REALLY. I WON A GIFT CERTIFICATE THERE FROM THE RADIO LAST YEAR. IT TOOK ABOUT AN HOUR AND HALF TO DRIVE IT, BUT THAT STEAK AND BAKED POTATO WERE VERY MUCH WORTH IT! MY MOUTH IS WATERING JUST THINKING ABOUT IT!

Thank you.All I can say is that he is just an old fashioned cowboy, and I am just old fashioned cowgirl, living the cowboy way of life.I love him more each day.Love gets better with time, and he is prime, and all mine. I love it when Gary says WOW .

Our favorite little getaway is Freeport, Maine....the best was when we got SNOWED in for the weekend. There's a little cafe and restaurant right there...very cozy!

Wow! 36 years.....This time of the year is great for the Smokey Mts. in Tennessee....Beautiful in the fall...You can rent a remote cabin on the mountainside...Very romantic....

Congrats on those 36 years....

I agree with the Smokey Mountains. Just came back from Gatlinburg, TN. Stayed in our own cabin at a resort called Gatlinburg Falls. Check them out at gatlinburgfallsresort.com. Cabin was very romantic, sitting on a huge hill. Had a view to die for, hot tub on our private baloncy. What a week to remember, we celebrated our 23 year anniversay.

Whereever you go, make great memories rolleyes.gif
