Okey, funny story! I go to the grocery store today and I am walking around doing my shopping when I hear someone say something and didn't realize he was talking to me. I looked up and there's this sorta nice looking man standing there that works at the store and he started talking to me about the 8 liner machine up front he saw me playing. Anyway, we get into this conversation about going to the casino and this man walked up and asked the guy a question so I went on about my shopping. So...next thing ya know I am 3 aisles over and the guy comes back up to me and starts talking again. He asked me my name and said he had seen me in there before and thought that he knew me. (He knew my dad). Well, then....he asked me Are you married or single? (Caught me off guard!) I said single. Then he asked me if I would like to go over to the casino with him sometime and so I said sure. We talked about my work schedule and he said well, maybe we can go out to eat sometime or something. So I finish my shopping and he takes my groceries to the car and asked for my phone number. Hmm....this all caught me totally off guard, ya'll! I have been divorced for 3 years and I did date a guy for a while but we had been old friends from high school and already knew each other. I am not sure that I even want to date anyone right now. I am perfectly content with my life the way it is without all the "getting to know each other" craziness. But is is nice to know that this 51 year old slightly overweight granny has still got it goin' on!!!

That is great go and enjoy your date. Have the best time ever with no expectation. The big question you need to ask " Does he know and like Gary's music"?

That's great & go enjoy you date, it's always good to have just a friend. Someone to hang out with & sure hope he likes GARY.

And 51 is not old, I will be 50 on JANUARY 15 & I don't feel OLD @ ALL!!! You're only as old as you feel I guess. So, go for it!!!

Good for you. I had always heard that the grocery store was a great place to meet people. Even if you might feel like you don't want to date, you know what they say, things happen when you least expect it. Enjoy yourself and have a great time.
