Cheryl's question got me thinkin'....Within the artist you've met...How many were because of M&G's; and, how many were just "dumb luck"!!! 'Cause for me other than Gary; they were just "dumb luck"!!!

It drives me nuts when "fans?" "dog" an artist they "claim" to like...I've heard different comments about "blocking the bus"; and, "such&such" is a much bigger artist than he is; and, he came out...I just want to say...Hey you bought a ticket to his show; not to his life...If he's nice enough to come out and sign autographs/take pictures; consider yourself lucky!!! But, you don't know if he's got a sick kid at home; or, what if YOUR show was the one that got delayed???

Let's see....most of mine were just dumb luck!! Met John Denver and also Steve and Rudy Gatlin in a bar here is small town America! Conway Twitty, Ronnie McDowell, Gene Watson, T. G. Sheppard, Ronnie Milsap, the Oaks, and Kevin Fowler I met either before or after a show.

Added to my post: Almost forgot someone! I have met the entire Osmond family many times! Was a big fan when I was younger and followed them around a lot! That's where I got my practice for stalking Gary! LOL!

Well, since I've been to Fan Fair 7 times....many were either at fan club parties or events held around town......or the convention center. I have belonged to a lot of fan clubs and gotten to meet artists at shows that way. I've never "dogged" a bus....whatever that means. Luke Bryan was in Waterbury, CT w/Dierks and he was already out signing and posing for pictures with fans, and I stumbled onto that one by his bus which was parked alongside of the regular parking lot. I ran into Ronnie Dunn in Portland, Maine while walking down the sidewalk He was heading for his bus and he stopped for pictures/signings. I've won one of the Brad Paisley meet and greets from a radio station, as I did my very first meet and greet with Gary Allan.....which was very cool...since I later had one through the fan club for the same show! When artists are first starting out....they usually meet ALL the fans when playing at fairs.

most of the ones i've met have been thru meet/greets. Thou the only one that happen on luck was being on the same plane as Kris Kristofferson and Bonnie Raitt. In bag claim, i was waiting w/ my folks to get their luggage, i looked over and my dad was just jabbering away w/ Kris. I walked over seeing that one suitcase had been picked up(thinking it was my dad's!). it was identical to my dad's, and it was Kris's. lol Kris & Bonnie both introduce themselves and we all gabs for a while before going our seperate ways.

Well, mine have been through M&G and luck. I have met Keith Urban three times in four years. Twice through fan club M&Gs and once after Fan Fair in 2005 - that was just luck.

I know someone is a lead singer for a rock band. The band has broke up and he has a so-so solo career. Have known him for over 25 years.

I haven't had a M&G ever...i have met gary on "luck" it was my first concert and wound up meeting Levi after the show...then met Gary. It was 4th of July weekend and they had to get going to their familes...but it was something i will never forget...the kindness and "laid back" if you will...pretty cool!

Ive met tons of people. Not alot were there fanclubs cuz back in the days there wasnt really a meet n greet for fanclubs.

80-90s rockers/ Hair bangs artists ive met Steve Perry (Journeys singer ) who took a liking to me (i told him i wanted to marry him since i was 7) & invited me to a bunch of shows so met him like 4 times, Def leppard & Tesla to many times to count- i ended up becomin friends with them i was there so much, Rick Springfield 2 times, great white, La Guns, Slaughter alot of times i ended up working for them selling merch, Ugly Kid Joe 5 times, Skid Row 3 times but met Sebastian Bach 5 more times solo- hes so hot in person. Europe, Danger Danger 3 times , Trixter 3 times , Every Mothers Nightmare, Childs Play- alot of times n ended up friends with them, Alice Cooper, Sleeze Beez, Ronnie James Dio, SteelHeart, Cold Sweat, Carolines Spine alot of times- ended up starting their fanclub, & SR-71- but i knew them when they were locals in Balt known as Honor Amoung Thieves. Alot of these bands didnt last long but they all had videos on mtv n played alot of small clubs.

Country artists are Keith Urban 9 times 3 threw fanclub or street team, Joe Nichols 8 times most threw fanclub, Andy Griggs 4 times, The Warren Brothers 2 times , Dierks Bentley 2 times threw fanclub, Little Big town, Craig Morgan, Katrina Elam, Tim Mcgraw 2 times threw fanclub (got autographs both times no pics ) & James Otto & phil Vassar. OH & of course i met Gary Once. I think thats everyone i ever met music wise. OH i met Keanu Reeves too when he played in his band Dogstar, got a lame pic with him too but hey its a picture. LOL

Ive met most of these guys just hanging around before or after the show, or being at the hotel. Sometimes when u meet someone if ur lucky enough to hang out with them theyll tell u where theyre at next time u want to see em or something. I never had to go hunting for Def Leppard or Tesla, theyd tell me where they were. And some artists signed n met people after the shows. Some artists dont like to stop & meet fans before or after the shows, even if theres just a few people. I think what gets people mad is when an artist sits on their bus in the parking lot or is out walking around doin nothing really but just killing time & wont take time to come over. Keith use to come out after the show before they left, thats how i met him 3 times, but now hes to big to do that, to many people waiting & not enough security to save him from being mobbed. LOL Sometimes these people go nuts, pull hair, grabbing & stuff so i cant blame these artists for not wanting to stop for groups of fans, but when its a few come on. Ive sat in hotels waiting when i knew the hotels, but i dont stalk them by following the bus or chasing them threw the parking lots. But i did once lay infront of Teslas tourbus with a few of my friends , cuz the 1 guy was still with his ho of the nite, n not on the bus & they thought he was on the bus sleeping. They never wanted to bother him when he was sleeping, hes a mean 1. LOL

These guys are just normal people, its fun to hang out with them as normal people to if u get a chance. Ive went to dinner with some of the guys in def leppard n tesla, & of course other bands i ended up becoming friends with. When i met Danger Danger they invited me to a party at the hotel, so did Trixter, Steelheart, Childs Play & a few of the other hair bands. THey just liked to hang with fans. I dont see alot of that anymore with artists, alot has changed in 15 yrs. Ive been meeting bands for 20 yrs now, & i can say i miss my hairbands but the guys in country nowadays are SEXY as can be. LOL

Most of mine were "dumb luck" if thats what you call waiting for hours by their buses until they come out and are nice enough to talk and take pictures. Ive had a couple that I could have met....but they werent the type to walk over....they just waved and kept walking.

I met Billy Ray Cyrus in 1996.But after i met him i never meet him again.Then when started liking gary then that's when i started going to
his concerts and meeting him backstage.And i would just to meet gary's
band members.That's sounds like that would be fun.

Most of mine have been luck.. Kenny Chesney, Gary and most of his band, Kix Brooks, Eddie Rabbit back in the day... I have met Clint Black a few times with Fan club meet and greet and same with Aaron Tippin....

My M&g's have been with Big and Rich, Cowboy Troy and Two Foot Fred also Jason Michael Carroll. I met most of Big and and Rich's band at a fan club party in Vegas. Way too much fun and Crown!

The only musician I've ever met was Aaron Tippin at a M&G. He was really nice.

I've also met a couple of players for the Tampa Bay Bucs when I temped for a mortgage company, and they came in to sign their papers

2 of mine were M&G's and one was just happened to be at the right place and the right time.

well my first ever time meeting GARY was pure luck!! even tho i was just sitting by his bus b4 the show!! he was sweet enuff to come over and take a picture with me!! and a few others and i have had several M&Gs with GARY!!!!!!

now i have also met blake shelton, which was to be thru a M&G, but some how {and my luck} our names were left off the list so we just happened to get a ticket fromt he radio station and they pulled our #

I've met Keith Urban this last March at a M&G, AAAHHHHH. He's a sweetheart. He makes everyone he talks to feel like they are the only people in the room. He really cares about his fans, you can tell.

I guess I don't have any dumb luck...call it too many potty breaks!! hahaha

I met Tim & Faith through a CMT auction to raise money for Katrina victims. I met Sugarland, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Gary through M&Gs and/or fan club parties. I met Keith Anderson and Chris Young before their show in Katy because the owner of the bar was handing out M&G passes to all the girls that came in! Maybe that is considered "dumb luck"...not sure. I met Kellie Pickler when I bought her "red high heels" at Chely Wright's benefit concert last year. All the rest, I met at fan fair...Jimmy Wayne, Danielle Peck, Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins, Emerson Drive, Trent Tomlinson, Jason Michael Caroll, Trick Pony, Katrina Elam....

Some of mine were dumb luck but some were "who you know". I met Gary twice. Once because I asked the right person and once because my dad worked with one of his family members. Saw him crusing around the Casino in Laughlin in June but just kinda followed him around. My hubby wouldn't let me BUG him. Next time I am leaving my hubby at home.LOL.
These were along time ago but I got John Berrys auto graph at a concert one time an that was dumb luck. Caught him as he was leaving the building.
Then got to meet and greet with Brian White because a friend of mines uncle worked at the fair grounds.

I've met a ton of 80's hair bands (Tesla & Slaughter too many times to count, Vixen, Poison, Trixter, Warrant, Queensryche, etc.) & quite a few country music stars (Dierks, Lady Antebellum, James Otto, Eric Church, Jack Ingram, J@ke Owen, etc.)...two really cool chance encounters was when I met Bon Jovi @ their hotel in downtown Chicago & at an Eric Church show in Wisconsin 2 friends & myself played basketball with him & one of his band members until the wee hours....

I've met only GARY ALLAN. Does Levi & Jamie count, I have met them too!

So, GARY ALLAN is the onlest artist I have ever met. And he is really the only one I ever need to meet.

i have met adam sandler twice (once he had rob schnieder with him), the guy that played hunter, the bands mxpx and unwritten law, some guys from bad religion, rhett miller from the old 97s and a few other underground type bands and i have served sinbad popcorn at work...but the most memorable will always be gary!
