IF I SEE THAT CHICKS FACE ONE MORE TIME; I SWEAR I'M GONNA SCREAM SO LOUD YA ALL ARE GONNA HEAR ME!!!
The other day I was headin' out the door; and, only had time to see ONE video...It was her!!!
Today I'm hangin' around watchin' for about a half an hour; just long enough to see if "you know who" shows up...Well he did!!!
I'm thinkin' "yeah, and I didn't even have to sit through another TS video!!! Before I can change the channel; the "very next" video is "Our Song"!!!
I know they want to promote the girl...But, (at least for me) they're having the exact opposite effect...It's not "heh, she's on again; or, look it's a cover story"!!! It's "D_MN!!! How many times do I have to see this child????

Have to agree with you there. Getting really tired of seeing her videos and hearing her songs on the radio. Used to like her songs but now she's overplayed and I'm sick of hearing them.

I agree 100%. Unfortunately, my little girl loves loves loves her and she sings and dances to her all day long. I just turn on my mp3 and dance to Gary.

when my daughter met her new softball team this past spring, she was wearing a Gary shirt and some of the girls were asking who he was. They started talking about music they like and when I picked her up she was really upset. She told me "Mom, can I switch teams--all those girls LIKE Taylor Swift!" too funny.

I know what you mean and would have to agree. My nieces know every word to her songs and sing them all of the time. I am going to have to start working harder on them again. Only Gary is allowed in my house. They do love WA and know every word to it!

Good for you J, teach those girls who is worth listening to. You know my J loves her Gary but TS should be outlawed.

They know that when Gary's video comes on everyone has to be quiet or they have to sing along. But when TS comes on I have to do the same thing. It is just not the same for me!

have to agree, living 20 minutes away from nashville thats all the radio stations play is taylor, almost like she is pushed down our throats like someone else(carrie underwood)i'm not saying that they aren't good but hey there is lots of good ones out there.the other day i called 103.3 asked them to play learning how to bend, and to my surprise the dj(which was a lady)talked about how great gary is and ask me if i seen him with kenny the other night.i said yea when gary came out the temp went up about 30 degrees, she said yea it just got hotter in here now.she ask me what it was about gary that i thought made him stand out.i said other than his great looks,is his boyish grin, bad boy attuide.and of course his awesome ability to make you feel his music, not just hear it.

Ok.. I am going to hear it on this but.. I jst went to see Taylor in concert and she was GREAT. I feel very fortunate that my daughters have someone like her to listen to. There are not too many good role models for girls these days. I would definitley consider Taylor a good role model. She is really sweet to her fans and a very positive teenager. I would much rather listen to Gary, but if I have my girls in the car I would much rather listen to Taylor than a lot of the other stuff out there (MILEY Cyrus UGH).. Good thing is my girls are Gary fans to so we listen to both!!

All this time I felt it was only me.
TS needs a vocal coach to teach her how to sing "on key" and as for CU never did like her.
That may be harsh but..........
We want more Gary!!!!!!!!!

Hey...I never once said she wasn't a good role model...If I had girls I wouldn't mind them looking up to her either..."I" just don't particularly care for her voice..."I" might even like her more; if she wasn't SHOVED in my face every 5secs!!! Promotion of your artist is a "good" thing...But, after a certain point it's like %^&*!!!

They do a great job of "over playing" a few guys too... Kenny, Tim, Rascal Flatts, Toby... I try not voting for ANY of these when you get to pick multiple on the countdowns.
One song that gets on my very last nerve, and if I hear it come on, I turn off the radio super fast... "This Kiss" - faith hill. UGGH!
Notice that out of the blue (well, since the news of her pending divorce hit the news stands) Shania Twain is on fairly regularly now!?! As I get older, I'm not as much into this "pop" country though... I just want to sing about drinking dark whisky, and how life isn't always beautiful or even a feeling like that!!!

Thank You!!! I was beginning to think it was my imagination!!! We're getting a lot more Shania around here too...I hadn't heard from her in ages; then divorce papers, and here she is again!!!
Whenever I rate the music there's certain artist I "automatically" vote "tired of" too...I may even like the song; but, I already know they're gonna get overplayed!!!

AH lasmaj....I have to agree with you!!! Where did all the ADULT female singers go?? We have to endure "highschool angst".....over and over...the wheel has to turn back to women that can sing about REAL life issues...the Blonde Barbie Doll Brigade of Reality TV needs to go find their own genre...hey...maybe they could start a Barbie Doll Pop Category!! Barbie,Skipper,Kelly and all their friends.

I am sorry I wasn't saying that you were saying she isn't a good role model. I was not trying to offend you. I was just trying to say I am personally glad that my own girls can have somone like her to look up to instead of other stars they could choose. I fortunately live far enough away that we don't really have anyone overplayed too much.

They play her more than Carrie Underwood these days....which I thought nobody would be able to be more outplayed than Carrie.

Well, I am a fan of Taylor Swift. I think she is a very talented young lady. Especially like the song she did on the awards. But.....I do agree they seem to be shoving her in our faces a lot! It's the same on the radio. But she is not alone. I've had all the Carrie Underwood and Raschall Flatts I can stand! Around here, it's BRAD PAISLEY! OMG! ALL his songs sound alike!! (But I have to admit I do like "waiting on a woman".) And we just don't get enough of OUR MAN!!! The guy is the most talented artist out there, yet he gets hardly any airplay! What's up with THAT?!!!

Yeah...There's about 7or8 of them around here that get MASSIVELY overplayed...But, the one thing in MY favor is our local stations love "The Man"!!! So, I get to hear him "fairly" regular!!!

If I never had to turn on the radio and hear her thin whiny little voice again I'd be a happy camper. Instead I've become very adapt at changing stations rapidly.
I should say something nice about her...right? Lets see...the kid has great hair. I wish I had her hair. Course that could just be another reason to dislike her, right?

I turn the channel as soon as I see or hear her! My 8 year old daughter likes her, of course! But when she heard her sing on the awards show, she said, "She sounds bad!" You would think radio and tv would realize that too much is not always a good thing. It's 2 am and CMT is actually playing videos! No Taylor yet! Thank goodness! I always hope they will play Gary so that's the last thing I see before I go to bed!
