At first I wasn't sure about it, but after a couple of listens, I'm really lovin' it! It's not like anything you'd expect from either one of them. If you're a Robert Plant / Led Zep fan, you really gotta check it out. In several of the cuts, you can hear a little Led undertones, perhaps a Cashmere sound. The percussion and acoustic bass really stand out throughout the whole CD. For lack of better words, I'd say it has a Middle Eastern, acoustic jazz feel, some funk with a little dab of bluegrass thrown in! And as usual on an Alison Krauss CD, it ends with get this----Robert and Alison singing a bluegrass HYMN!!! And the CD didn't implode in my player! laugh.gif Would you ever have thought you'd hear Robert Plant sing a hymn?! laugh.gif He really does a good job. This CD is very easy to listen to, just give it a chance , because it's very different from what you'd expect! tongue.gif

Thank you for posting this! I am looking forward to the album myself. Just out of curiousity, does Allison sing "Big Log" on this album? that is one of my favorite Robert Plant songs, and I actually found a download of Allison singing it. I believe her brother Viktor was playing some of the instruments on that cut I found. Either way, I'm buying the album!

No, she doesn't sing it. Best I can tell the only Plant, Page, Jones song on there is "Please Read The Letter" which is one of my favs on the CD.
