My job search has not gone well over the last few months. Luckily I have had my unemployment to fall back on. BUT I am getting short on time with my unemployment and I am really needing a job.
Today I got a call back from a trucking company that is hiring for a office job. It would be a combination of secretarial, accounting, and office management. I really want this job. It starts out at more than twice what I was making in my previous job. It is 40 hours a week Monday - Friday. After the probationary period I will be making more than my previous boss made. lol That is if I get the job.
My interview is tomorrow (Thursday) at noon. So what I am asking is for you all to just send me positive vibes and maybe a prayer or three. I want this more than any other position I have applied for. It would put me in very good place financially.

Wishing you the very best of luck, Shroomie!!

I have also not been having any luck on a new job ... laid off 7 months ago now (thankfully, I had a nice severance pkg) and it's just awful out there. I went to take the typical tests for the City of Ft. Lauderdale today (job is clerical for the police dept) and it went very well ... but there are so many steps to go through before you ever know if you get the job! And they take SO MANY applications! It's unreal!
PLEASE let us know how you do.
