I did not even know Jimmy Wayne until this song but gotta say I love it. Has he been singing long? He's good.

Well, I just went and read his bio. He grew up around here, who knew? His bio is very sad though. Glad good things are happening for him now.

He had a song out a fews years ago that was called "Stay Gone", it was written by him about some of what he and his sister (I believe ) went through.

I believe so...but I could be wrong. I have the first one....it has Stay Gone and Paper Angels and I Love You This Much....
He does have 2 out...but one is just a few different versions of Stay Gone.

He does have 1 out and 1 that has not been released and also the current one that is YET to be released with "Do you believe me now" on it. He is so good and actually got a standing ovation at the Ryman during CMA fest when he played there. I would definitely recommend people checking him out and also requesting his music if possible. He sure deserves to make it for many reasons. He also isn't hard on the eyes.

I love his music--you have to listen to his song Paper Angels--it will make you cry! He has a video for it that they usually play at Christmas. As I'm typing this, Do you believe me now? popped on the radio--totally love this song! I keep waiting for him to do a show around here, because I would love to see him live.

I haven't heard it. Have to keep my ears open for it. The Stay Gone cd is pretty good.

I just love his last CD and all of his songs from that album. Plus all of his videos are totally awesome. He is a cutey. Julie and I got to meet him at the festival. We got pictures with him. He is real easy on the eyes. a very sweet man. If you don't have his CD go buy it is worth every penny.
Plus Stay Gone was a statement that his sister said to him about her ex.

Ok, you guys won me over. I will pick his CD up this weekend. I saw your pics with him Cindy lee and Julie. I wondered who he was then. After hearing that song several times, I just love it. Thanks for all the great feedback on him. I know I can trust your opinions.

I love that song!

I have been a big Jimmy fan for a long time. He had a really rough childhood...grew up on the streets, his mother was in prison...etc. He does a LOT for children's charities. Just an all around great guy. I met him a few years ago at the CMA Festival and he was one of the nicest people I had ever met! He was on the same record label as Taylor Swift and Danielle Peck (Big Machine) but he was "moved" to a new label, which is partly why it has taken so long for a new CD.

His debut CD is great...I think he wrote most of the songs on it based on his life experiences. Stay Gone was written about his sister, who was in an abusive relationship. His "I Love You This Much" still makes me cry...that is one of my all time favorite songs!!

I cannot wait for his new CD to come out! August 19th...just a few days after my 2-day Gary fest!! It will be a great week!

Thanks. I read that on his bio and it was so sad. Glad to hear he's doing so much better now. I'd love to catch one of his concerts sometime.

I have to give it to you all, I downloaded Jimmy's album and new song today from iTunes and I love it! The album was only $5.99 and the new song only .99 cents. What a bargain! I didn't know he sang "I love you this much". I have always loved that song. Thanks for all the replies. You helped me to make a great decision.

You all might want to go over to his website and check it out...he actually gets on the board and READS the stuff and posts too. Someone started a rumor that he got married and he read it and quickly addressed the issue and was really sweet and funny about it. His stuff is getting a lot of airplay around here (NC and TN) and I posted on his board that you guys on the Gary Allan board were talking about him...and it's all good. That should make him a happy camper.
His video is really great of that new song too. It's getting airplay on CMT and GAC. So far it doesnt look like he is coming near his "home state" anytime soon (unfortunately) but I am hoping ... he really is great in concert and a really nice guy to talk to as well.

I'll have to check that out. I'd love to see him when he comes our way.

Yes this is a great song. Loved his first CD can't wait for this one. He was here in Houston last week with our local radio station. Great guy, he has been through a lot. He will do well I'm sure with this new CD.

Is it just me or does he look like a young Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20).

Haven't noticed but IMO Jimmy is LOTSSSSSSSSS better looking (especially in person) than Rob Thomas. You have to see that for yourself. He looks awesome in person even better than video.

Hopefully he will be touring in NC soon. He had lived in Gastonia, NC and played at Coyote Joe's before he hit the airways. Thought that was interesting and thought I would share!
