I'll tell you what I have and see if anyone can help me to know what to do.
I have a LG Flat screen TV with a LG DVD/VCR Recorder. I have Charter Cable with a HD Box.
I can get all the HD Channels and channels like GAC, CMT Pure and MHD through my cable box.
My problem is that my DVD Recorder is spliced (DH's words not mine) with the Cable box. I can get some HD channels through my DVD recorder but they are not the same number channel through my DVD recorder as they are through the cable box. That doesn't matter.
What I want to be able to do is to record GAC, CMT Pure and MHD concerts when they have something good on. But I can't get my DVD Recorder to pick up those channels. I don't understand why or know what to do about it. Like I said I can pick up some of the HD channels through the DVD Recorder but their just a different number for the channel.
The reason I got the DVD Recorder and the HD TV and HD Cable Box is to record concerts and videos.
If this sounds greek to you, it is to me too. Any help will be very much appreciated!

i have digital cable and i record things on to my computer with the digital box, anyway the computer channel is set to one channel and the box is set to another.
may be you need to switch to different channels in the recorder or the box also called the cable company and ask them. just a suggestion

Have you tried to search for channels thru the dvd recorder? or manuallly add the channels into it. I wished i was there I probably could figure it out. I have my way with electronics.

babygirl. I am having the same trouble with my Charter HDDVR. I had a different one and it was switched out last week .Since then I can't get those channels. I think it has something to do with Charter. I have been on the phone with them all week. No one knows anything. I'll let you know if they tell me anything useful.

I did try to search the channels again through my DVD Recorder but that didn't help. I think I was in the right part to try and add it manually but it wouldn't let me do that either.
I have talked to Charter on several occasions and they just didn't know what to tell me to do. Footmom, If you find out anything, Please let me know. Thanks everyone!

Hey
I just talked to my cable guy and he had me call the Charter number and have it reset. You don't have to talk to anyone just go thru the menu for service and it tells you it will reset. I got many of the channels back but not all. Try and see what happens.

I am getting all of my channels through the cable box, I just can't get them through the DVD Recorder for some reason. Thanks for trying to help me though.
