Saw this video again last night on CMT ~ the song deeply affects me. I know Gary chooses his own material ~ but I'd love to hear him sing this.

I think of this song every time I go to the Wall in D.C.

I love this song too. So emotional and meaningful. Billy Ray did a great job on it.

He did a really good job - sad, he was noted for the "catchy" one - but there were lots of really good songs on that album.

Yeah ~ that BRC wrote it and sings it with such passion...

I must admit I was a fan of that program he did where he was a country doctor in NYC. They played a lot of his music as background. Until then I didn't realize how good he was ~ and bought most of his CDs. I love his voice.
