Hey
I am taking my kids down to Chattanooga to meet up with a friend next weekend and I need suggestions on where to go and what to do. We'll be there for at least a week and there will be 2 of us with 6 kids! Does anyone live there or been there on vacation??

I don't live there, but I have been there many times.
The Aquarium is really great
The Train museum, there is a Holiday Inn with train cars as rooms
Funky shopping in the old downtown
Go to Ruby Falls
Go to Lookout Mountain
Ride The Incline
You can take a haunted tour of Civil War battlefields and graveyards
On the I75 side of the area is Hidden Lake inside the mountain

I have been there many times--but not for a few years. The aquarium is amazing, Lookout Mountain and Ruby Falls are spectacular and if any of the kids are into trains, there's the Chatanooga Choo Choo hotel that used to be a train station. We stayed there once and it was really neat. Have fun!!

Thanks for letting me know. It's so hard when you go with so many kids to find stuff they all like. I wish I had asked before we had our hotel reservations because the train one sounds like it would send my son into fits of joy. I'll have to just go there for him to see it.
Any suggestions on food places?
I can't wait to go. We are gonna have so much fun.

You all will love Chatanooga, Tn. This is also one of my favorite places to be. Ruby Falls is awesome & Rock City is so much fun & the kids will love it here too! Don't forget to check out POINT PARK it's an awesome site seeing park. I absolutely love CHATTANOOGA!

Hey lady, the aquarium in Atlanta was great! Jillian and Brendon will love it. When I got off the main drag, I was going to Ruby Falls and then all of the excitement happened! Just stay close to the main drag unless you know where you are going! Have fun!

I am not sure if I could find that hole again or not, I was down about every back road in NW Georgia. I think that I brought some of it home with me. Atleast those young men helped me and did not even charge me anything. Love small town people!
Yes, I saw the sharks, got some pictures of them too. Also saw the belugha whales, they are so neat. They were doing funny tricks for us and everything.
It was a very neat place and the kids will love the touch pools, very awesome!

We are so going there. Even if I have to extend the trip. What's a few more days when we have the whole summer and nothing to do??

That sounds like a cool idea, it was really neat to walk down the tunnel with the fish swimming over top of you. The rays were just racing back and forth and the small fish with all their bright colors were so neat to see. You guys will have fun! I even got a thimble from there to add to my collection. I ended up bringing 3 back with me, one from nashville, the aquarium, and one from a town in Tenn. I found it while I was talking to you on the phone.
Oh the star fish were really neat too!
Take your time and just have fun! Your hubby can take care of himself!
