Not her biggest fan and hate to admit her first single is pretty decent and should do extremely well in todays radio market.
I haven't heard it yet. Is it on CMT?
I haven't heard it yet either...although I did used to like her back before Newlyweds and all that...she does have a very good voice.

No not yet. You can hear it over on AllAccess. Set a billboard record this past week in the debut standings. I'm not saying it's the greatest song, but taking into consideration some songs that very established country artists are putting out....it's not bad.
It's not deep, the message is simple/repetitive.... and her vocals are not that bad. Sometimes I feel the real talent behind a song that makes it work and sometimes really saves it - isn't the singer or the songwriter, but the producer behind the instrumental orchestration.

I THINK that the wife of one of the guy's in Gary's band(John, maybe?), has songwriting credits on that JS song... I could be wrong, but I think I read that somewhere...

LOL--I have "With You" on my iPod. It's a good song to run to. She doesn't have a bad voice when she's not trying to be all "breathy" and stuff. I'll have to listen for this new one.

No wonder she showed up to the Chevy Stage unexpectedly for an interview at the block party on Wednesday.
As long as I don't have to look at her perform, I can take her. She is obviously very attractive but the way she works her mouth when singing....you just want to reach through the tv screen and shake her.
Just did some quick scanning of radio stations and right now quite a few are polling their fans about it. Generally speaking across the board the response has been pretty positive. I can just hear some music country fans, critics cringing at the sound of that thought. lol

Glad you posted this one, I think it's gonna do alright too. Who knew? She did a great job with this one.
Did anyone happen to see Kid Rock's new video? Caught a minute of that one this morning, that's all I watch of videos is about a minute, LOL anyways I kept waiting for "Werewolf in London" to come in. Music sounds just like it, cracked me up. His vocals didn't impress me much.

i guess i'm the only one that laughed when i heard it!!

Well I decided to go listen....I didn't think it was too bad....and the little write up I saw on it said Jessica wrote it with Rachel Proctor (she is John's wife) Rachel has written some really great hit songs in the past.....guess we'll have to wait and see on this one..

Too funny..about the mouth i have that same feelin about Craig Morgan..like his music BUT IT DRIVES ME CRAZY to try to watch him sing..And off subject but whats up with his NEW LOOK? I'm going to check this whole jessica thingy out..you got my interest...hahahaha

He rips off "Sweet Home Alabama" later on in the song, too. Of course, I have issues with his videos being on CMT anyway. I like a couple of his songs, which I'm kind of ashamed to admit
Same with Eminem--he's completely gross, but a few great running songs, lol.
I saw Jessica at the Chevy's stage...I personally would have rather had Rachel singing it...love that girl!! Been a fan since Me & Emily (she's a WV girl, like me...)...but I guess if Jessica singing one of her songs will get her more recognition...then I'll deal with it for now. I would have loved to have seen Rachel this week!! Maybe next year....
