My husband usually bcc's me when sending email to our daughters. Even though he is 23 hours away these days, he stills keeps in touch in small ways. We have both been profoundly impacted by the recent lecture and writings of a college professor. Below is the most recent thought shared with our daughters. From my experience it's a great piece of advice to all women regardless of age.

Randy Pausch, a college professor who's dying from pancreatic cancer, leaves this advice for his 2-year old daughter and it seems to make sense.

"When men are romantically interested in you, it's really simple. Just ignore everything they say and only pay attention to what they do."

Chloe, not yet 2 years old, may end up having no memory of her father. "But I want her to grow up knowing," Randy said, "that I was the first man ever to fall in love with her."

Yep, that's a great one! You are really lucky to have him take the time to do some little things though. Cherish those moments, my friend!

What a great idea! I love that he is passing these words of wisdom to your daughters. I tell my dh all the time that he is the example of what our daughter will look for in a man when she's grown--so he better be a really GOOD example! For the most part, he is. I'll be passing that little gem on to my daughter--thanks for sharing
Alright ND Girl
My MIL is reading his book and says it's amazing. I'm looking forward to reading it myself.

I also heard that his book is great. Let me know what you think after you read it.

That is so sweet of him to say that about his daughter. And, to give her that advice. How true!!
