Full Version: Rebate Checks
Not sure if everyone heard this or not but it sounds like the lastest statement from President Bush is that the rebate checks will start going out on Monday. A bit earlier than predicted. Sounds like the direct deposit ones will go out first. It sounds like a bit more than I heard $600.00 for individual, $1200.00 for couples and an additional $300.00 per child. I'll take it!
I read that too, I guess that they are suppose to start going out on Monday!

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China. If we spend it

to Japan. If we purchase useless crap, it will go to Taiwan and none
of it will help the American economy.
We need to keep that money here in America. The only way to keep that money
here at home is to spend it at yard sales, since those are the only businesses still in the US.

LOL, that is too funny! Some truth to it, that's the sad part. So, I'm with you guys we can just spend ours on Gary shows. Heck, we don't need the rest of the stuff.

SOOOOO True!!!! FCP Here I come...LOL
I will be spending part of mine on Gary shows. A couple of fairs that I can drag the kids to. (my excuse to justify my Gary obsession)
You can look up the date that your check will be mailed out. It goes by the last two digits of the primary filers Social Security number. I should get my check (two adults and three kids) before the GAFC party! This will definately put money back into my checking account for what I have already paid for and make for some good shopping while I'm there. Whoo Hoo!

That is great news! We are planning on doing a back porch - since when we built the house 4+ years ago we kinda ran out of money and we want to do the deck with that money.....
I believe people who get their Income tax refunds via direct deposit are getting them first. It must be true as I already got mine
Yep It was announced today that direct deposits with the last two digit SS# 00 to 20 would start hitting the bank accounts today!
Too bad for me, I own a business so I have to pay taxes every year, so I don't even have a direct deposit set up. So I have to wait for snail mail, otherwise I would have gotten mine today or tomorrow!
