For those of you who have never spent time in Arkansas. You need to know that we don't get this much snow here very often. I can only think of maybe 5 times in the last 30 years that we have gotten this much snow. So when it does happen we love love love it. It usually doesn't last long. Half of the snow is gone already. It is going to be in the 60's tomorrow so I figure it will be good and icky for a few day. The snow is now turning to slush and because it rained for two days before the snow storm, the ground is saturated and there is no where for the water to go.

So anyway, here are the pics I took. Some are better than others but they all show how much fun we had playing in the snow.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics. I've decided snow is really pretty--as long as it is in your yard and not mine! laugh.gif thanks again for sharing--you have a beautiful family as well.

First off Jimms... I wouldn't consider the 4th of March to be winter anymore. The flowers were blooming and the birds had made their return only to be slammed with 15 inches of snow. I'm glad we did get the snow but those poor poor birds and all the flowers that had bloomed are now gone. sad.gif

We still have snow on the ground today but the roads are clear. It is supposed to be in the 60's. I wouldn't know because I haven't been outside YET! Got to get around and go pay some bills.

It is the kind of snow I like Here today gone tomorrow. You get to stay home and play for a day and then you get on with normal life.

Love ya and miss ya my friend.

Thanks babygirl... Zoe had a blast making snow angles. The only problem was once she got down there and made the angle... she couldnt' get back up. So I would have to pull her out of her angle. She would just laugh and laugh and laugh.

Yes the snow is beautiful... I love it! I wouldn't want it for more than a day or three but yes I do enjoy it while it is here. Don't let the little ones fool you. You would think they are little angles but believe me they have their moments.

I'm gonna send you both a calendar... laugh.gif laugh.gif spring doesn't start until March 20 so YES, it is still winter...

Love the pics Shroomie - thanks for sharing them. I especially love the ones of the kids. They look like they're having such a great time.

I will add, though. It's funny how different parts of the country view snow. We've had nearly 43 inches so far this winter, which would make this the 10th snowiest ever in this area. So to say we're darned sick of it is an understatement.... but there you guys are, out playing in it.... love it! biggrin.gif

OK it was 70 the day before. The flowers WERE blooming and the birds WERE singing. To me that says spring. So even though it is technically still winter... here in the south as of the first of March, IT IS SPRING!

As for playing in the snow.... I can only think of a hand full of times in my life that we got enough snow to really call it snow. We usually get an inch or two every couple of years. As far as the big snow, Maybe half a dozen times in the last 30 years.

Mr. Shroomie has been here for almost 16 years now and this is the most snow he has ever seen in his life. Of course he grew up in Houston. I don't think they even know what snow is down there. tongue.gif
