I'm out shoveling snow this afternoon and all the men around me have their four wheelers and snow blowers going, and not one of them ask if I needed help.
The 8 year old boy next door came outside and asked if he could help.
What is wrong with this picture?

At least somebody is teaching the kid how to be a gentleman!! I'm sure it's his Mom. Last week I was coming out of a store with a bag in one hand and a crying 3 year old in my other arm and 2 men closed the door in my face!! I was so ticked!!! As I was trying to shift things around and open the door, a nice woman opeed the door and held it for me. I hope my 2 boys have better manners when they're grown men.

Funny you should say that. I am making that sweety a big chocolate sheet cake right now. He's always asking me to bake that when he's gonna be here.

It is his mom, because it definately is not his dad.
What happened to the guys that open the door for you? My mom beat it into my brothers' heads. It only took on one of them though. He'd stand with the door open waiting for you, then help you to the car. I hope my son is like him.

Chocolate cake sounds good right about now. I can't believe that I gave up chocolate for Lent, what was I thinking!

Sorry I forgot about that or I wouldn't have said it. My bad.
Just remember all the tempting Jesus had and he never gave in.
I love that banner too. So sexy.

Well what do I have the only gentleman in the country as a neighbor. The man moved in down the street from me and every winter he comes up and plows my driveway for me. He said he can't stand seeing a woman shove.

Wow good for the eight year old showing the men how it's done. I've been getting doors slammed in my face when I'm right behind them. I tell them thanks. They look at me funny. Still don't think they get the hint.

I blew a tire last week and could not for the life of me get the darn hubcap off. While I was trying to pry the (#&$@&#( thing off the wheel, several men drove by, slowed down, peered at me, and drove away. I didn't need anyone to change the tire, I just needed help with the hubcap! Lucky for me I have runflats and was able to drive to a Discount Tire, where they were able to pry off the hubcap, destroying it in the process. They also put the spare on for me (apparently no one keeps my particular tire in stock) at no charge.

I can't believe no one stopped to help you! What is wrong with the world!
At least the people at the tire store were considerate.

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of years ago...Luckily, I was next to a sale barn; so, I could pull all the way off the road into the parking lot...Men "everywhere", and, supposably none of them knew how to change a tire...Which made them all either "really inefficent aka useless" or "little lazy liars"!!!
So, I changed it "my own d@mn self"!!!
Basically, the only difference between a man and woman changing a tire is how ya break loose the lugnuts...Most men put on the tireiron and pull left...Most women put on the tireiron and jump up & down on it until it breaks loose!!!
Honestly...I can't honestly say I would've stopped...Would've depended on the time of day & surroundings...Too many weirdos in the World anymore...But, I "definately" would've called the cops for ya!!!
I "always" keep a "full size" tire in my trunk...A "Dadism" from long ago...That way I don't even have to deal with a spare...It's an "especially" good idea concidering how much driving I do during "Concert Season"!!! Plus, (at least in my car) it fits right in the spare spot!!!

I must be the luckyest lady in the world, in my 40 yrs of driving I have never had a flat that a gentleman wasn't around to change it. I even had some teens boys to stop and change the only one I have ever had out on the highway. Maybe it has something to do with living in the south. Maybe we raise them better around here.

I was in the parking lot at my doctor's office, so it wasn't like anyone had to pull off the highway to help. They slowly drove by me in the parking lot while peering out of their trucks/cars. I guess that's part of the perils of living in a big city - people are heistant to help others. My husband read me the riot act for not calling him, but he was over 60 miles away at his work, it was easier to drive on the run flat to the tire store rather than bother him at work and wait for him to fight traffic (probably faster too.) I changed my first tire at 8 years old, I can change them. I just can not, for the life of me, figure out the darn hubcaps on this car. There is a tool that's supposed to take them off, but I couldn't get it to work. And using a screwdriver apparently destroys the hubcap. I may have to go to the dealership one day for a lesson in hubcap removal. As for a full size spare, with the Mini Cooper you're lucky to have a spare at all (hence run flats standard on the car). The spare is up under the car, and there's just enough room for a doughnut spare - no room inside the car for a spare of any size. The Cooper S doesn't have a spare in any shape or form. Despite that, I still love my little car, and think that at times, men stink!

I just wanted to let everyone know that one of my neighbors has made my day. I went out in the middle of this crazy snow storm to see my son in a play at school. I got home and my entire driveway and the sidewalks are all cleared. I am so grateful. I just wonder who did it!! No shoveling for me:D
